It is not padded, it has a removable padded headrest. It is much more difficult to fold up and unfold than my previous one. It has plastic arms, my last one had wooden ones and was much more comfortable. Generally a poor replacement.

Had these chairs just a few days now, and one of them is faulty already.The reclining mechanism of the chair is controlled by a thin plastic rack and pinion system just below each arm, which actually works very well at what it does. The problem is the rack has been attached to the chair frame at either end by a couple of pop rivets, and very poorly at that, meaning some of them are either very loose or have fallen off completely.In the event it is only the back of the 2 rivets which is actually required to hold the rack in place, and when I replaced the offending rivet with a bolt on each of the chairs they are now much stronger and working fine.Purchasers should bear this in mind when ordering, because its the weakest part of the operating system and no use if it fails. If you are competent enough to use a drill and happy to fit a few bolts then they are well worth the effort, as otherwise I find the chairs very supportive and comfortable.

I appreciated other reviewers saying this was best chair at getting horizontal. It is very good but not as good as my old Argos gravity chair – however this one is much easier to get in and out of snd appears to be strong and well made. The locking system a bit stiff but I’m sure that will improve.

It looks really stylish and is relatively easy to set up. It’s roomy and comfortable but I do have one gripe and that is it doesn’t stay closed once folded which is the only reason for 4 stars!

This chair is really comfortable. The locking mechanism slips sometimes but mostly holds. Mine came slightly damaged but I was compensated by seller. Really great customer service. Will buy again.

Lovely and comfortable. We bought two much more expensive chairs of similar design for ourselves and these were bought for everyday use for friends. These are almost as good as the more expensive ones and they’re very comfy. I’m certainly going to have the odd siesta in one. Very well priced and should last a long time (if you look after them)

I only bought as cheaper similar style chairs from Argos were out of stock and I didn’t want one with a big padded cushion available from Tesco for £25; I also had an Amazon gift voucher to spend so a win for me !

When you just want to lie back and enjoy some sunshine or fresh air these reclining garden chairs are bliss. Absolute joy to just lean back and gently recline and enjoy. My husband has checked them over and declares they are sturdy and well made so what more could you want. We have since ordered another as a gift for a niece. She was so relaxed and comfortable when she tried one of ours we decided to get one for her birthday. She was thrilled.
