I bought this for the recent cool evenings. It’s great! Heats up really well. No idea how much electricity it uses. I recommend it as a quality patio heater.

Excellent heat output, portable, very directional heat

This arrived promptly, well packaged in a box almost as big as me. You have to attach the heavy base and remove a few packing bits, but otherwise it doesn’t need much putting together. Even the first, lowest setting, which on mine is a thrifty 600W, is enough to warm a medium sized room quite quickly. I’ve been using it to help with decorating, and recommend it as there’s no fan, noise or dust blowing about, and no condensation either.Infrared heat is fab, esp. if you need to dry paint (or clothes or anything else). The heat produced is dry but comfortable, warming objects rather than the air. It is particularly good for when you’re working on something, as the room doesn’t get stuffy or damp, the air remains cool but objects, walls, bodies and pets get warmed up.Only problem for infrared is that it’s like a magnet for pets! But there’s a strong wire guard around the heating element and even my fluffiest cat has so far avoided getting singed.

I love this fire had my sister and brother to buy them aswell. Instant heat really good output, great on electric. sturdy quality I would highly recommend. Company was swift to deliver.

Delivered quickly. I was surprised how heavy it is but needs to be so doesn’t blow over. I bought for my daughter and she loves it. Perfect heat and it looks smart. I bought on a sale so very good price.

My flat is cold and hard to heat. So I thought, instead of trying to heat the whole room, why not just heat me? Well, I tried it and it works like a dream! It’s not just great for heating at level 1, 2, or 3, but it is also very well made and has a reassuring solidity about it, so I am happy to have it in my living room.
Neil –
Great heater but only lasted 2 weeks before our dog knocked it over. Lamp smashed and supplier doesn’t offer replacements so you have to buy a new heater.

Good heat production warms the room quickly

We have been upgrading the heating in all the rooms. We had panel heaters in the rooms that date back to I think the 70s, they are inefficient and make a ticking noise. I had tried a few different types of heaters, but this is by far the best. First off is how little space it takes up, it is 23 cm in diameter on the base. The height of the heating part is perfect, so many free-standing heaters are far too low, this is really well designed. I know it is described as a patio heater, but it looks fantastic in my home office. It has 3 settings, and on the lowest it is very cheap to run and is perfect to make the room a nice comfortable working temperature and if I am using the PC at night when it is frosty out I can turn it up to medium. Even when I am in the room I use the timer just in case I forget to switch it off. I love how easy it is to use, the remote is super handy when I am at my desk and straight forward to use, there are controls on the heater too. I used to have to wait ages for my old heater to get to temperature, this one is super quick, pop it on, go and make a cuppa and the room has started heating up all ready. Great design, great functions and a good price.

( I’VE GOT A RARE ONE FOR YOU AMAZON MUSIC UNLIMITED SUBSCRIBERS TODAY. RARE BECAUSE ‘RINGO STAR’ SUNG IT — ALEXA, PLAY ‘DON’T PASS ME BY’ BY THE ‘BEATLES’ PLEASE ). IT’S ALL TO EASY TO FALL INTO THE ‘ I WANT THE MOST POWERFUL ONE SOLD’ OR THE ‘MORE MONEY MEANS THE BETTER’. NOT SO IN THE CASE OF THIIS PLATINUM, FLOOR STANDING PATIO HEATER FROM ‘ DEVOLA ‘. I HAVE THIS – THE 1.6KW – FLOOR STANDING HEATER & I HAVE THE 2KW ‘DEVOLA’ TOO. I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT THIS 1.6KW PATIO STANDING HEATER KNOCKS THE 2KW HEATER INTO TOUCH. FOR A START THE BASE ON THE 1.6KW HEATER IS AT LEAST 4 TIMES HEAVIER THAN THE BASE ON THE 2KW HEATER, MEANING THAT IT IS NOT GOING TO BLOW OVER ANYWHERE NEAR AS EASILY. THE REDNESS ON YOUR FACE WILL NOT BE COMING FROM THE 2KW HEATER, MORE FROM THE EMBARRASSMENT AT SEEING YOUR 2KW HEATER HITTING THE DECK AT THE SLIGHTEST HINT OF A BREEZE BREEZE IN FRONT OF YOUR GUESTS. THE 1.6KW HEATER HAS STUNNING SLEEK LINES AS OPPOSED TO THE CUBOID HARSH LINES ON THE 2KW HEATER. THE REMOTE CONTROL ALSO IS STRONGER ON THE 1.6KW AS OPPOSED TO THE FLIMSY ONE ON THE 2KW. EVERYTHING ON THE 1.6KW PATIO HEATER IS SLEEKER, STRONGER & BETTER BUILT. THE REMOTE CONTROL NOT ONLY BEING STRONGER AND BETTER LOOKING IS ALSO SIMPLE TO OPERATE. MAKE SURE THAT THE SWITCH ON THE TOP OF THE MAIN UNIT IS SWITCHED TO THE ON POSITION, THEN YOU ARE FREE TO OPERATE THE UNIT MANUALLY OR REMOTELY. SWITCHING ON ( TOUCH THE MODE BUTTON ONCE ) WILL TURN THE UNIT ON. EACH SUCCESSIVE TOUCH WILL RAISE THE TEMPERATURE UP A NOTCH AND VICE VERSA. TOUCHING THE +/- BUTTONS WILL FLASH THE MAIN DISPLAY FOR 5 SECONDS. SWITCHING OFF PUTS THE UNIT INTO STANDBY MODE. THE PLUS AND MINUS BUTTONS ARE USED FOR ALTERING THE TIMER FROM 0 – 9 HOURS. I DO RECOMMEND THIS PATIO HEATER . YOU ALL KNOW THAT I AM A TIGHT WAD BUT THIS LOOKS LIKE IT’S WORTH THE MONEY. THE MANDATORY 12 MONTH WARRANTY ROUNDS THIS OFF NICELY

I’m very pleased with this garden heater. It’s sleek and is a good size for my small garden. The instructions for putting the base together Weren’t the best and although not thick I have to admit that I did struggle. I got my friend to help me in the end. One can normally go online to get tutorials on “how to”. Nothing that I could see for this brand. When switched on even in its lowest setting it warmed up almost immediately. This particular one is 2000w although there are 2 other lower wattage ones 1200 & 1600 respectively in a choice of 2 colours.Currently 20% off bringing the full price down from £194.99 £155+ another £39 off for Prime members .The cable is way too short at 1.8m for a heater like this. Luckily I have an outside plug so that won’t be an issue for me but some people may struggle and may have to use an extension which I wouldn’t really want to do from a safety point of view given this heater is quite a high wattage. The heater has a remote which is handy. Although it would have been nice to have somewhere to put it on the heater for the sake of convenience. It would have also been nice to have somewhere to fasten the cable when not in use once wrapped around the base to keep the plug secure and off the floor when not in use as.The heater has a 9 hour timer and 3 heat settings In total and as mentioned above the first setting was nice and toasty al it’s immediately.I have ordered a pergola so would assume I’d need full settings on a cold day but in an enclosed area 1st or 2nd setting will probably suffice.I would say that it’s a very good heater and I’m really pleased with it other than the little niggles. At the price it is sold which is not cheap it would have been nice to have a protective cover for the price. I bought one separately as there was no option for the specific brand as such the cover I bought was a bit Ill fitting as not the same brand, but I guess something is better then nothing!I would recommend in terms of functionality, look and feel. Not bad at all.I hope you found this review helpful

This patio heater looks very elegant and has many useful features:It’s waterproof, has three heat settings, has a timer and a remote control. It is easy to assemble. However, I don’t think it is safe if you have children or large pets as it is not very stable and the whole unit gets very hot. I would also be worried leaving it outside if it was the least bit windy as it would blow over. The base is weighted but since the whole unit only weighs 5kilos, it is not heavy enough to withstand a gusty wind. The instruction leaflet is confusing saying it that it is for outside use only and yet describing situations when it can be used inside. The impression I got was that the leaflet was designed for several products. I think the only safe option is use it outside well away from any walls or fabrics in a sheltered child and pet free area.

Arrived in a bit box so you may be given the impression it is bulky but it is not.On unpacking make sure to look behind the cardboard for extra bits; I only noticed while moving box out of room lolThere is a very heavy base, cover, instruction booklet etc definitely need those! Now since mine arrived the weather has taken a turn for the worst thanks to storm Dudley and Eunice and many heavy snow showers so I was unable to test it outdoors. Instead I opened all the kitchen windows and set it up in there. I sat over a metre away and tested each setting. It heats up pretty quickly which is what you want on those chilly nights. Our back garden gets Sun all day long but when it hits 6pm the sun passes over to the front and that’s when we need this guy and a cardy! The design is sleek and modern and safe to use under a pergola with roof as no sparks climbing in the air like with a fire.Setting 1 is actually quite warm but I think outside and probably sitting a little more than a metre depending on how many people are there I would put it up to 3.It has 3 year ratings you can choose from dependant on how cold it feels.I love this has a remote control makes it so much easier. Much like setting the hive from yer sofaThe unit is sturdy once you’ve attached the base. windNot too heavy you can’t move it but heavy enough not to be blown away with wind.Looking forward to spring barbecues and cosy nights out in the garden. If only the snow would stop and we’d reach highs of 10 loldefinitely recommend. Feels like luxury!

I have to say this is a really nifty heater it puts out a very reasonable heat even on setting one of three.Out of the box there is a small amount of fairly straight forward assembly. The instruction booklet assembly graphic is rather small and could have helpfully been somewhat larger. When switched on the surrounding area heats up quickly, I’ve used it in a fairly sheltered part of the garden on setting one and the temperature became reasonably comfortable in no time. It is ideal for al fresco evenings with wine and chat.Unless you have a source of power outside you may need an extension cable as the unit cable is not terribly long, otherwise all good…recommended.

This is a very effective patio heater that is perfect for heating a small to medium sized patio area. It was easy to assemble with great instructions, the base is a good heavy weight, but not to heavy you can’t move it if needed too. Once set up you can either control it from the control panel at the top of the heater, or the remote control, which does not come with the 2 AAA batteries required but the remote does work well, it and the built in control panel are both really easy and straightforward to use.The heat output from this is really strong, luckily it has 3 different power settings which really helps you get a comfortable heat from it, also given the amount of heat this puts out I think the lower settings are definitely going to be more economical to run.It has a 9 hour timer, or can be customised up to 9 hours, which is great for peace of mind incase you forget to turn it off.It also has IP65 Moisture Protection 5 means it is protected against low-pressure water jets.again another worry free feature. The design of the unit is also great, it looks very sleek and stylish. The only of the slight gripes I have is the length of the power cable, it is 1.8 meters, which is relatively long, but we have needed to run an extension cable to get it to the position we want in our garden. Which does worry me given the wattage of the heater.

Looks great, very sleek. Quick to heat up and gives off a good heat to the surrounding area.

When I opened the box I was very impressed the actual look of this platinum floor heater I found it was very straight forward in the assembly of adding the base which is quite heavy I think designed this way to stop it toppling over make sure you have a Phillips screwdriver on hand. When I came to switch on it was quite easy but you have to use the remote to use the mode of 1 or 2 or 3 and three being the highest I was blown away with the heat Impact very impressive so I took this out to the log cabin for an experiment and used the egg thermostat and as with the pictures to show the temperature starting at 11.8 and rising within 15minutes to 17.3 making the log cabin lovely and warm With spring approaching and barbecues ready to be lit this patio heater is so ideal to be added to the ritual of come rain or shine hot or cold and yes we will be out there with our well burnt sausages and burgers and wine and beer on tap but this year I believe will be different as we have the added bonus of that we are going to be nice and toasty with our new patio heater I can’t wait looking forward to it already

This is a really excellent patio heater. It is very easy to do the small about of self assembly required and what you have then is a very useful heater than will help you extend the amount of time you can spend outdoors when the weather is cool. The heater is well balanced by the fairly heavy base but isn’t too heavy to allow you to move it around easily. The biggest limitation to moving it about is the power cable which really isn’t long enough and may require the use of an extension reel. The heater can be controlled easily from the control panel or by the remote ( you will need two AAA batteries which are not supplied) You can choose any one of three heat levels. The heater can be turned on or off easily, or can be programmed to be on for a fixed period of time in increments of one hour. The heater is well made and has an IP 65 waterproof rating so should be safe from showers, water pistols and the like. This is a really high quality heater that will help us enjoy spring days and cooler summer evenings outside on our patio

I was really surprised at how good this looks; it’s really elegant and looks very expensive. It looks so good and takes up so little room I wondered whether it could be used indoors to quickly heat an area. Warning: it can’t. It’s not safe to use any patio heater manufactured for outdoor use in the home. I hadn’t expected it to look so good and now I’m waiting for less wet and windy weather so I can enjoy it fully outside. It seems to be very well made and there’s sufficient weight for it to withstand a little wind. It’s well balanced and the lead is about 6’ in length. It’s supplied with a remote, and that’s easy to set up and use. There are three heat settings and a timer function, so it doesn’t need to be on all the time and you don’t have to stand over it.I’ve only used it once as a test, so far and the warmth was incredible. It made sitting out watching the night sky a genuine pleasure despite the cold. This is going to get a lot of use once the winter winds have disappeared. Excellent item.

In common with many people during the current times we have renovated our back garden to be used as extra space but being England it does get colder most nights. I have wanted one of these for ages and was pleased to be able to try this one. We have tried it but it is back in storage now waiting for slightly better weather. It stands solidly (you construct to base yourself) and has a remote control which is a great addition. Whilst the cord is fairly short you could use an extension as long as it is not left out but our outside power supply is in just the right place to stand the heater on the patio near the furniture. A fairly reasonable price for the good quality, especially with 3 power settings and the remote.

While the recent weather with storms Dudley, Eunice, franklin and another on the way has meant outdoor living is not on for now however the Devola patio heater has been put to good use in the interim to take the chill off the conservatory. It packed a good punch and the unheated conservatory was toasty warm in a short time. There are 3 heat settings, a timer and a remote control.Easy to assemble and set up it feels pretty solid with a weighted base to stop it toppling over. The slimline design means it won’t take up much space on the decking when we eventually do get out there again.A good robust heater for the warmer nights when later in the evening it just turns a bit chilly.

We recently bought a little wood fired pizza oven. The trouble was it was awkward to use in and out of the kitchen, butr with this heater it made it amazing by letting us sit at our patio furniture, cook and eat and drink and be warmk! The heater itself is tall, slim and well built. It looks excellent and is easy to handle in aqnd out of the utility room.Heat given off is amazing. Easy to now sit outside with tshirt and hoody one instead of full coats and blankets.Really enjoy it and would highly recommend this.

“It’s not the most attractive thing in the world,” declared The Resident Warlock as he unpacked this, “And it’s got no instructions.” It turned out there was a perfectly good set of instructions, but TRW had opened the box the wrong way round. Once we’d found the instructions we soon had it up and running. And it fair blasted out heat. I can hardly believe this is the least powerful in the range! TRW was slowly coming round, “I guess it looks OK for a patio heater,” he concluded, and I agree. It’s an amazingly efficient heater and looks good in an outdoor setting. If you don’t like this particular style, you can always choose something else…
Keith&Joyce –
This is a smart looking patio heater that in theory can be left outside. It was easy to assemble with a helper and is very stable. I tried this out in a cold conservatory and on full power the temperature was raised quickly. The heat is radiated outward from a shiny curved surface behind the heating element. I could feel the heat 2 metres away. The outside rear surface gets hot, but I don’t think it would burn you. There is a timer on this heater but I cant see a need for it. For someone looking for a heater to use outside then I don’t think you would go wrong with this one.
judi –
this is a really stylish patio heater that heats up instantly and even on lowest setting gives out a lot of instant heat, i like the tower design as the heat is at seated height, not above so you really feel the benefit from the heat, it will give plenty of warmth even on the chilliest of nights, it has a handy remote control so you don’t have to get up to adjust temperature or turn it on or off, it also has a timer so it automatically turns off, only negative is that a longer power cable would be handy, it’s a decent length but i do think a longer one would be better

Sadly we have not managed much use of this of late due to incredibly windy weather…but when up and running this is lovely! SO easy to plug in and warm a specific area for a cool evening sitting outside.Good energy use and reliable. Needs to store inside.Well made, great quality and a worthwhile purchase. Recommended.

The heater heats the room quickly and keeps the room at the temperature I set. This kept us warm in a small area of a very large room. Also used to take the chill out on cooler mornings.

So, you want a good heater and you’re fed up with choosing between being freezing cold or dead broke?Well, you can just go right ahead a stop with the misery this search is causing you.I never even considered looking at outdoor heaters for inside until I found myself standing next to one, outside the pub in the smoking area. Initially it annoyed me because it was making me too hot to enjoy my cigarette. The next day once my brain commenced normal operations, it occurred to me that what annoyed me the previous evening was actually a very small, electric, warm af source of heat which, as it turns out, is also significantly cheaper to run than its alternatives.3 heat settings. You’ll find the lowest setting is more than a you’ll require inside and as an added convenience you won’t have to get up off your lazy warm comfortable arse to turn it off when it gets to hot, because these thoughtful little angels provide you with a remote control, boasting an impressive 4 buttons, each with but 1 simple function that is clearly labelled making life even easier for those who can’t be bothered learning about yet another remote control’s smart functionality. So, because of these considerations, I recommend the purchase of any of the 3 options. I have the 2000 and frankly it total overkill for indoors, but Amazon had a massive discount on it, making it cheaper than the middle one. Plus, it’s a religious experience to go thermonuclear for a few minutes when you just get in from the sub zero temperatures, the freezing pain rain, the hail, the sleet, the snow, the frozen fog, the howling artic winds or any combination of all these horrors the city of Newcastle Upon Tyne so generously provides.Happy heating!

Gives a lovely level of heat. Very quickly. Inexpensive to use. Well built.

I am very impressed with the heater for the price. Nice solid well made heater that provides ample heat. My only gripe would be a lack of a cover, but I purchased a separate rotary airer cover that did the job brilliantly.
