Great ergonomic design that clasps firmly on to the parasol. Heat output is good and keeps you warm in cooler temps. Adjustable hinges that lets you direct heat where you need it. Only gripe is that the power chord could be longer.

Bought this for my husband’s birthday BBQ. We considered other similar I opted for this makes and model that was between £75-85 (compared to this at £120) because we were skeptical on reviews with regards to installation & stability. Glad we did. The unit is very easy to install, stable and sturdy. It has a good weight on it and is a quality product. It is slimline and it mounts perfectly to our parasol. I have read a review about having to add another hole on the garden table for the cable fit. We got away with this by passing through the cable in the existing table hole before we put the parasol. It comes with cable to attach to the main. We did connect it to an extension cable as we have to plug it inside the house. There are 2 ON/OFF switches. The first one is for 1 lamp, the second turns the other 2 lamps on. The pressed steel and aluminium reflectors are good quality. The heater uses short wave infrared electric halogen technology which ensures the unit only heats people and objects, not the air, and is therefore unaffected by wind. Overall, we are happy of this purchase from ordering to delivery (delivered 1 day earlier than scheduled). If there is anything that will improve this, I wish the light is not so as ‘red’ as I was expecting it to be more yellowish but I suppose that’s why they called it “Ruby lamps”! But this will not stop us from buying this unit.

I did quite a bit of research on this and felt this had this most positive reviews. It was easy to attach to the parasol pole, was very secure, easy to adjust angle of the radiators and was actually very warm. It was a windy afternoon, but we managed to stay outside and eat our BBQ lunch in comfort (in Jan!!!). Lead is short, but you would always have to use an extension lead anyway. The wind blew the parasol over later that day but the unit was not damaged – so pretty sturdy construction!

I don’t think you will find a better heater on the market for a parasol. Keeps me you pleasantly warm.Dislikes:: power lead could be longer.

Good heat for those special times outside. The IR tubes give a pleasing light of area too.Should last a couple of years, more if really cared for.Grease the screws and nuts as prone to rust after time.
Mrs L Bonner –
Product fine, however the lead with plug is quite short, needs to be slightly longer. It also suggests to avoid using an extension lead if possible but as the heater is meant for out doors there will usually be a distance from a plug socket.

This gives off good heat fits easily under the parasol will warm you if it starts to get chilly – I selected this model as the most powerful on the market – would recommend

BUT -It is so bright in the dark – you will not want to use it. It obscures everything and all within a radius of two metres.WHAT I DOI screw the lights upside down – pointing up into the garden umbrella of course noting that they are not so close as to set it a alight,A bit of common sense – but you end up with the heat reflected down
Mrs J A Brooks –
Excellent when it is chilly on the patio on a late summers evening
Master Mariner –
Basically sound. Fit for purpose.Cable is only 1 metre long. Pole clamp can only just be tightened sufficiently with a strong grip.
CoffeeTime –
Not nearly as warm as hoped. Better off getting an outdoor fire.
