Mr&mrsM –
Perfect chair for watching sports day. Light to carry but sturdy to sit in. Fits nicely in the car boot too so ticks all the boxes.
Peter M –
Ideal for putting in the car for picnics or longer use. Well made and with a nice positive lock to prevent unintended folding.
David Ecob –
Excellent quality. Heavier than the normal type of folding camping chair. I would buy again.
Ymugmike –
A lightweight chair that is easy to open and close with a small latch at the rear to stop accidental folding. I have bought come matching foam tube to ease the back of the legs on the front cross bar which could be a bit harsh over time.https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BR5D95WP?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1Nice to have solid arms rather than the flimsy canvas types. Easy to get out of the chair by pushing on the arms.
MR JOHN P SCHOFIELD –
Well made comfy chair easy to fold and carry. Well pleased with my purchase
Richard Bombay Sapphire Allen –
More difficult to carry for me than expected
Joy –
Its a gd solid chair gd value but NOT that lightweight. Very quick on delivery.
Peter –
Bought this to replace an old fishing chair.Sturdy chair, good solid build.Folding the chair out is easy but folding it up is a bit stiff.Comfort is ok 8 hours down the canal no issues. The big let down is the carry bag very flimsy starting to tear after a few sessions. The chair itself is 5 stars but it needs a decent bag to carry it in
OP –
It’s a comfy chair. A little heavy to carry but very easy to fold and unfold. Overall worth it.
sailer –
WE loved the chair for it”s comfort the ease of opening and folding, fits in boot of car with ease
michael –
Excellent chair great fit as I’m a bit overweight and very strong would recommend.
Diplow –
I wanted a comfortable portable chair, it is portable but a little heavy, being heavy it is robust and well built, comfort is in the middle, cost is higher than most but hopefully it will endure some useit does what it’s meant to do 👍
Anthony L. –
Arrived and unpacked it, sat on it the first time it collapsed with me in a heap on the floor could of been a lot more series than hurting my hand, shocking to say this was suppose to be heavy duty to hold upto 23st
Anurag –
Really nice chair. Only it has a trick to close. It doesn’t close by bringing together the back rest rods; but instead you need to bring together than Handle bar and back rest (same side) bar together.
Darrell Burns –
Just a little heavy but easy to set up and use
bodie –
Couldn’t believe I was spending fifty pounds on a folding chair but I’m so glad I did, it is worth it. Easy to get in and out of, as a larger person, supports the back nicely. Best of all it doesn’t have a bar across the front of the seat to dig into the back of your legs, like so many folding chairs do. My only complaint is it’s a bit stiff to open and close, but a squirt of WD40 will sort that. Overall, a bit pricey but worth it.
Amazon Customer –
Solid enough for my rotund 98kg arse. Good comfort and support the square feet plates also good so I didn’t end up sinking into the mud on my camping in North Devon. To fold just bear hug the legs
Mr Morris –
Very well built and sturdy chair, easy to fold, a little heavier than cheaper brands, I could imagine the chairs lasting a lot longer due to better build quality, very happy customer 👍
kathleen williams –
Realy sturdy chair well worth the money its stiff to close maybe because im a pensioner and not that strong but realy pleased with it
vaux0809 –
Excellent chairs , comfortable, finding a bit awkward to fold back up, should get easier with use
Amazon Customer –
Sturdy strong chair easy to fold when used to it
Fatos Erdem –
It is a comportable, strong nice looking chair. My 8 years old son plays football 3 times a week in a club so I needed something to sit and watch him in the playing fields. First idea was to get something cheap but also wanted something strong enough. It is not cheap but well worth the money as it ticks all the boxes.
Amazon Customer –
Not easy to fold
Mrs R. –
Great product, very sturdy and comfortable. heavy to carry and needs a bit of effort to put up and collapse
Geoffa –
A good product
Martyn Honey –
Chair collapsed after second time using it!With myself falling on the floor. Not recommended
George Mitson –
I bought two of these chairs and I am really impressed by the sturdiness of them. They fold similar to many smaller chairs but the arm rests are rigid and the chair has plenty of tension to enable the user to sit at a table to eat.
Patrick –
Strong and comfortable.
Alan –
Looks well constructed and is comfortable to sit in.Very pleased with product.

If you are looking for a good quality, comfortable chair, with easy folding action, this offering from Portal will be just the ticket. In a lovely eye-catching grey with orange accents, this really does stand out. The folding action is very clever in that it folds in an X style with the back leg folding forward and the front leg folding backwards in a silky smooth motion. The arms are reasonably wide and comfortable to lean on. The back is tall enough for most frames (I am 5 ft 9″ tall) and wide enough to fit many sizes (again, I am quite wide) and I fit the chair perfectly. There are plastic feet on the corners of the legs which seem to mark very quickly (I have photographed 1 foot that shows this) but that’s not a deal breaker as these are on the floor most of the time anyway, but I will monitor these and see whether they get damaged. The only thing I noticed were quite a few loose strands of stitching at the back which again isn’t really a deal breaker and does not detract from the quality of the chair. I just need to buy another one for the pair. Recommended

These are good lightweight folding chairs , we have a North facing back garden that doesn’t get much sun , so these are ideal to take into the front garden quickly to catch some sun and enjoy a cup of tea in the garden. They could also be used for camping , the 150kg Wright capacity is really good top, the frame does feel strong and the back of the chairs are supportive. They are easily folded down and stored in the shed when not in use , the fabric is thin but comfortable, the arm rests again are thin , they are OK to sit on for a few hours in the garden , especially in the summer months. The material also means they dry quickly and its quite breathable and Ventilated too.I’d say for £46 for two chairs of this quality are quite good value , ideal for a couple to sit outdoors on a nice day , they pack away flat so they can be stored away and are easily taken outdoors when needed. If I was being a bit picky , better arm rests and maybe a bit of padding , but they are good value , budget folding chairs.

I ordered the blue version which comes with a fabric cover and appears to have plastic coating on the rear. The fabric is secured tightly to the frame so it acts a bit like a drum skin when you move around – it makes some noise which is a bit distracting. I assume the mesh version doesn’t suffer from this issue. The chair seems to be well made – teh tubes are quite thick and it has metal fixings at all the pivot points. When it folds out there is a metal tag that needs hooking over a pin to stop it folding back on itself when you pick it up. I have used other folding chairs that didn’t’ need this – but they were a slightly different design. The size was fine for me – I’m 5’11”.I was delivered a box with 2 chairs in it – however the sale description appears to be for one chair. This needs clarifying by the seller / Amazon.

This is an excellent chair. Stable, strong, comfortable and evidently made to a very high standard. The pack I received contained two. I’m unsure if the price relates to one or two but if its two it’s incredible value, if its just the one then it is still good value as the quality is brilliant.Firstly, it’s worth noting how these are strikingly aesthetically pleasing. I love the petrol blue colour against the grey. This chair is lightweight and easy to carry whilst maintaining strength and stability. I’m six foot and fifteen stone and I sit very comfortably on it.All the components and parts are very good quality, not one flaw. It’s clear that Portal have a high standard of manufacturing.I’m very pleased with this chair. The two I have will get tonnes of use when the weather improves, trips to the beach and camping. I’ll update this review if my opinion changes with use. However, I doubt it, I’m confident in its quality.
A. Skudder –
Although the description does not say anything about it, I received a pair of chairs. Whether this is a shipping error or an omission in the description I do not know, but if this is supposed to be a pair of chairs then its good value. If it is supposed to be just one chair then it would be a bit over-priced I think.Mind you, it is true that you get what you pay for and this is a nice solid folding chair. It is also a generous width – though I reckon that if anybody weighed enough to reach the stated weight limit of 150kg then they probably wouldn’t fit in it, but I don’t think that anybody who is over 23 stone is going to trust a folding chair whatever the specs say!The chair is lightweight and really easy to unfold. I can do it with one hand, no trouble. The same with folding it back up again. The only fiddly bit is that there is a catch you can engage to lock the chair in an open position for extra piece of mind. The material for the seat and back is thick and feels strong.Personally I wouldn’t use this for camping, but only because we have chairs that fold up a lot smaller, but this will be fine for festivals, picnics, garden parties, or emergency extra seating when you have a really full house.

Portal Folding Camping Chair. This is a real quality made chair but I do have a couple of issues 1: this chair is heavy very heavy around 3.5 kg which for a camping chair is pretty crazy.2: this type of chair suffers the same as most folding chairs and that is that there is no extra padding on the cross bar which goes across the back of your Leggs/knees making it quiet uncomfortable if you want to put your legs up or if your shorter then 5-ft 9.3: although this chair is super easy to fold out it also tries to fold back in on itself when you pick it up up from the top as most people do when wanting to move a chair like this, it causes both the front and the back legs to begin folding in and if not corrected could easily collapse if someone tried to sit on it.This chair is definitely not for lounging you must sit upright in it, it is however still very comfortable it has good armrests and a nice high back overall chair is well made it’s just a shame it has a couple of issues.

This foldable beach chair is good quality , easy to use and practical. You can take it anywhere if you go camping or beach is easy to carry but not small size obviously. When I reviewed this product price was about £47 good value and probably will buy again if needed

This is a portal brand folding chair suitable for any outdoor pursuits. The weight of the chairs is 4.9 kg / 10.8 lbs max load is 150kg / 330 lbs it’s a strong durable frame with a fixed clip armrest and anti slip feet ,folds and opens very easily, that’s most of the gen . The chairs arrived fast very well packed, on opening I found a well made pair of quality chairs , made with a high strength fabric which is scratch resistant and breathable, easy to set up and very comfortable to sit on and folds neatly for storage. Just right for sitting outside in the summer or for when that unexpected guest turns up , an excellent purchase can highly recommend
nikki –
I’m really happy with these folding garden chairs. They are strong and solid, they have a catch on the side to lock it in to place to stop it from folding. They fold up nicely and really good quality. I definitely recommend 👍🏻
HotWings –
Very happy with this folding, portable chair! It’s made very well with quality materials. I like how comfortable and firm the seat is, it’s upright so it supports my posture well. I go camping regularly and this will be coming with me.
PLANTLOVER –
Fantastic support. The arms make all the difference.

JLD –
great quality, comfortable and looks great
Alan –
Bought this initially tp take breathers when working in garage. Have not found anything better. Will buy another one, at least, next year, if available still.
Dennis Peedle –
You get what you pay for this chair is quality.
Icarus Rising –
Pros. Sturdy, comfortable and well made. Cons. Heavy, large and not the easiest to fold. The carry bag is pretty cheaply made.We got these for camping and garden use. Not serious campers but fed up with the cheap ones and portability challenge of the simple folding chair. These are good but are builky compared to cheap alternatives. I would say go for them but don’t think they are the same size as the cheapest ones. If you have 4 they take up a lot of space.
