Bought two for outside garden use. They work well and have not given any issues in 3 months.Remote works well offers 3 heat settings. Units have an on/off switch. Useful in extending sitting on the garden patio time. Required additional outdoor electric circuit fitted and certificated by qualified electrician. Come with UK plug but they were removed to allow wiring directly into a new circuit and control box. The units were therefore the lowest cost of the whole job. Would recommend but my view is that you will need two if they are for outdoors and will provide comfortable heat for four to six people sitting under the heaters depending on mild night time temperatures. Work best in still air but that is to be expected. Would recommend and purchase again. Price is perhaps a little expensive hence 4 star rating.Update 2019Both units still working well no issues after two winters .Update July 2021One unit failed after 4 years 4 winters. Effective for 4 people to sit under but ideally for two. Only received light use so not a s robust as it could be.

Bought this as an open box item at half the stated price. No risk, it arrived in original box unused but at half the original price. Useful addition to your patio. Fitting was straightforward, took around an hour with the electrics. It gives a reasonable amount of heat. It will be interesting to see how it performs in the autumn/winter. The remote works well, it’s both a reasonable range and there is even a spare provided.

Having had a couple of gas patio heater I was ready for something different and not as bulky. I’d found with gas heaters that you never get the real benefits of the heat as you very rarely sit round them in a circle and you’re guaranteed to run out of gas the second you decide to sit out.this new heater arrived promptly and was really easy to fit to an outside fence (3 screws to fix the bracket and 2 olds to attach the heater. The cable’s concealed between the fence planks and plugs into an outdoor socket underneath when needed.a little bit confusing to operate at first (soon sorted thanks to amazon answers) – in short switch on at the side, press the power button on the remote then select your heat setting and your good to go.plenty of heat to take away the chill on an evening and definitely quicker and easier than the gas heater

The heater does what it says on the box. Heats up a good space pretty quickly. I can’t vouch for it running at 20p an hour, but I’m sure it’s economical enough. Easy to install, but you do have to drill 3 holes in the wall…over an electric socket or you’ll end up with all sorts of unsightly extension cords. Good price…they were advertised on TV at twice the cost. I ran a length of conduit down the wall to enclose the cord, looks nice and neat. But the manufacturers lost a star because they use black electric cord…whit would be so much better to fit with interior décor. Would recommend.

Was a little concerned as to how “weather-proof” this actually was. I have attached it to an outdoor pergola via an external socket. So far it has been fantastic! It has been absolutely doused in 10+ showers, yet operates absolutely fine once we switch it back on. As a note, it’s worth waiting until the rain as funny been and gone and the weather has naturally dried it out before use, we had switched it on 5 hours after it rained and heard some rather worrying fizzles. But it’s working absolutely fine and keeps us nice and toasty (the three settings make it ideal to find your ideal temp). The remotes are a great idea as ours is place up high, just out of most people’s reach.

Obviously this is normally mounted above head height. It chucks out some heat but I have to run an extension to make it work, which rather defeats the object of an outside unit. Should come with a minimum 5 metre cable.

We wanted a little heat so that we could sit outside when the weather cools down. This fits the bill, easy to fix onto our wall. However, the weather has turned warm again so we haven’t been able to appreciate how much heat it will throw out when on the maximum setting.The only down side is the length of the cable. It advises that the heater should be mounted 6feet off the ground but the cable isn’t long enough to reach a socket unless like ours, its 18inches off the floor. Wouldn’t be difficult to make the cable a few feet longer……

Ordered 2 of these units for garden patio. Arrived in good time and well packed.Installation was pretty easy, I recommend purchasing all purpose anchor bolts for wall mounting, as plastic role plugs provided are not the best.Small issue when initially switched on could not get controllers to work, emailed vendors who were straight back. Had to warm battery up, work straight away.Would highly recommended, great product and excellent customer service.

These seem brilliant so far, we upgraded our old infa red heaters and the difference is massive. Each of these comes with two remotes which is helpful, there is a physical switch on the side of the unit aswell. They heat up instantly and are very effective.There are three heat modes, and the maximum is hot! We purchased two and they cover our decking area perfectly, would highly recommend.They arrived well packaged and intact.

A longer lead would be useful but easily solved with a waterproof junction box. Looks a quality product. Had supper on the deck the evening of its arrival. Air temp was 14 degrees and it was really toasty with the heater on the second setting

Good size but only heats up to about 4-5 feet away from wall . We have it mounted and wired in to our patio pergola which is around 9 feet long so now need too consider one at the other end to really heat the area. Nice design with 3 heat settings (3 bars) but only the max 3 bars is of use ! I will be buying and wiring in a second one..

When trying the Futura Deluxe Wall Mounted Electric Infared Fire for the first time I found the on/off switch on the side of the heater did not work properly. An email to the supplier and the problem was fixed in record time. I am really pleased with this product as it works perfectly and being wall mounted it is out of children’s reach and does not take up floor space. Also there is no chance of anyone falling over it which is a good safety aspect. The prompt help I received from the supplier means that I can recommend their company and would have no hesitation in buying products from them in the future.

The item came without a remote control, but this was quickly rectified, so great customer service in that respect. The lead, as others have mentioned is very very short, much shorter than can be useful for most people I would imagine, so we are going to have to do some electrical work to make this suitable. Haven’t used it yet, but switched on, and it seems to be quite powerful in heat generation very quickly, but I can update you all once we have installed and actually used it.

Please understand the claim made by the advertiser dosent cover ‘open’ area – the coverage listed is 20sqm and is totally wrong and misleading – the product does not heat the stated area at all in open space and my use is outdoor in open area – I have installed 2 heaters for 15sqm area and yet pretty useless as the heaters even in full settings does not give warmth unless you are standing very close to it (1 meter or so) -when contacted about the claim, seller blantly replied that it is supposed to be a closed room and did not accept the ‘error’ in the listing – yes the seller informed me to return the product but we have spent £148 for the installation and material via a certified electrician! Stuck with the product which is not fit for purpose! At all !!! Shame as it could have been clearly listed as indoor heaters – THEY ARE NOT FIT FOR OUTDOORS IN OPEN SPACE! And for a closed room per say mentioned by the seller, I suppose any £30 heater will do the job!

This is a fantastic heater, I have it in my outdoor bar area of my summerhouse and it gives out great heat! Might even be too hot, but there are different settings! Wish they were still available as want another one to match!

It was for an extension to kitchen , intention was it had to be instant heat , as we don’t smoke in the main house , it was to take the chill off the air on cold days , only to be used for very brief periods of time , hence requirement for instant heat , remote control works very effectively ,very satisfied with heater , easy to fit controllable heat , very pleased with product ,,

When a company exceeds your expectations it has to be classed as 5 star. The heater itself we cannot fault, we have it fitted in our wooden garden seating area and it performs exactly as we required. Have not felt the need to have it on full power as yet so overall pleased with the heater and the service. Would definitely recommend the product and the Company.

Great heaters, bought 2 late 2016. Unfortunatly one sparked, popped and stopped working in March 2018. Emailed Futurama. They got back to me next day. Offering money back or replacement. Replacement arrive within 2 days and they picked up the faulty one to see what went wrong. Impressive customer care.
