Really good bench it’s heavy and looks/feels it will last a long time. Only a couple of thing I had a problem with is that there was no instructions in the box so had to have a quick Google search to figure how to put it together. Had to hammer some nails back in on the seat and the back as most of them was sticking out and who ever drilled the holes before needs to learn how to use a drill properly as they was terrrable but apart from that it’s a really good bench

Good looking bench but wood (pine) a bit ‘soft’. Also, there was one slat disconnected which was obviously disconnected when it was packed. Made good with six screws as original staples bent and useless. Not easy to remove either.You pays your money, you takes your choice.Stuart

The top slat had broken off so had to get a carpenter to repair ….I did contact the company but no reply ….bad customer service!

This product arrived early which was great. Two of us built it but found getting the bolts in through the wood required a mallet (rubber headed would be ideal but we didn’t have one) and quite a forceful manoeuvring of the pieces to be joined. It doesn’t mention in the instructions that tools other than a spanner would be required. The other thing we had difficulty with was inserting the long screw holding the centre back to the base. The pre drilled hole was only about a centimetre deep and the screw and thickness of wood required more drilling. Luckily we had an electric drill at home. Again this was not mentioned in the instructions. Having said all this we love the look of our bench and did manage to build it ourselves.

Our first delivery was damaged but was quickly replaced. Assembly was hampered by an old set of instructions being included. I recommend carefully drilling a pilot hole before inserting the long central screw or you risk splitting the timber. We are pleased with our bench and Ian’s swift response. We have seen a couple of the benches in the neighbourhood bought in previous years. They are still looking good. But do remember to retreat the arms and seat slats after a year or so.

This bench seems to be a quality and top notch product – sturdy and very comfortable. The wood appears to be well treated for weather protection – time will tell. If you wish to cover it, it could be hard to find a cover because the bench is larger than most. Overall ….. well pleased.

The bench was ordered on Thursday & delivered much to my surprise on Saturday & I’m delighted with it,l assembled it myself ( l am 80 yr old lady) the only thing l couldn’t do was the screw iwhich my son did for me who was cross with me because l put it together myself.I had to contact the seller on a trivial matter who was very helpful & pleasant.All in all very satisfied & would definitely recommend.

I’m nearly 70 and found these easy to assemble. Only 4 pieces. I love that they have nuts and bolts rather than nails. All you need is a 13mm spanner so if anything needs tightening it’s easy. They look good & are comfortable. And there is a lovely cedar smell when I remove the covers (which I bought separately but not essential). Delivered as expected. I would recommend.

We are really pleased with this seat, it arrived before time, was well packed and it took two of us under an hour to construct it, it is really sturdy well made and looks great in the garden.Only one small fault one of the back wooden pieces had come away from the framework it was easily put back with the help of a hammer. Bought this for my mother. My brother assembled it, said it was simple. It’s was a good buy, hardwood, sturdy, well finished with rolled edges so as not to cut in the back of the legs. It’s a good size but might not suit petite build. My mother is over 5’6″ and said her feet hardly touch

I never give negative reviews But this time I really must because this was a ridiculous assembly process, NOT one single so called pre drilled hole was where it should be, the top bar on the backrest was completely pulled off from the side bars (only held in with super flimsy thin nails) which I drilled and screwed back on properly, if I didn’t have the right tools and know how on how to redrill and figure out where to do this I would have returned this item immediately, anyway after at least an hour re drilling the bloody thing I git it assembled, it’s fine now but I cannot understand how whoever built this item couldn’t even get the correct drill holes. All in all I’m really annoyed by the whole thing.

Lots of small cracks in the wood and some wobble when sat on the bench. Otherwise it’s OK. May settle down eventually with retightening – will have to wait and see.

The arms of the bench had been badly damaged in transit (not the suppliers fault), their customer service was excellent and the replacement arms were sent out promptly. It only took quarter of an hour to assemble (helps if there’s 2 of you to hold things), very sturdy bench, I expect it will last a long time even in our climate.
