Sturdy table top , ordered for garden, so good ordered another for caravan nights. Easy to connect to gas with clip connection . Not as powerful as a full size gas heater but effective when sat around. Quick and Easy to light . Well pleased with purchase. Husband assembled it , no complaints from him about the quality of the product which is unusual for him with self assembly purchases.
Not Happy –
Unfortunately even from the box the ‘spark’ start only works 1 in 10 goes, so matches have to used to start it. Have given it a few days to see if it improves but still the same. Will have to return it as it is faulty for a replacement, which is a pain.

Very well packed, everything arrived in perfect order. Clear instructions with visuals. Took me about 30 mins to assemble, would be quicker with two people. Heater fired up first time and heat out put was good and as per kWh advertised.

The second one of these Universal innovations heater I’ve owned. The first has lasted, and served very well, for over 9 years, hence my decision to buy again. It arrived very promptly (ahead of time) and was extremely well packaged and protected. On checking, one bolt holding the burner assembly was loose and turned out not to have a corresponding nut. Fortunately I had some spare M4 nuts, but repair was fiddly (hence 4 stars). Instructions have improved greatly since my last version, but assembly needs care and ideally two people, especially as you will probably build it indoors, but your gas cylinder will be outside and carrying the part assembled unit for gas leaks testing (essential) is problematic. If, as with mine, neither end of the gas tube is affixed already, soaking the hose end in hot water first helps greatly! Overall, it’s a very solidly built unit and the heat output is generous to say the least, easily warms round a table of 4-6. Doesn’t “cook” an umbrella canopy but can heat up the pole! My old one quickly corroded (just the upper shield grille), so recommend it’s kept well covered if stored out of doors.

Average heat output. On full power this heater can keep a table of eight warm, but only on a VERY still night.If there’s the slightest breeze you really will have to huddle round to feel any warmth.Heater itself was easy to assemble and appears ybe good quality. Weighted base keeps it nice and steady.

I left the assembly to my wife and daughter and to my surprise they managed to put the heater together I was impressed there were some tricky moments but in the end I did a quick check over got it ignited and low and behold it is still working , well done the girls 👧

Bought this to heat my wooden gazebo, it’s brilliant. The heater is so much warmer than my old heater & they’re both 4KW. It’s also a lot easier to light too, looks nice aswell with it being in black & not steel. Very sturdy. Definitely recommend.

excellent…. ordered one for the Xmas period to have in our gazebo, after about 10 minutes had to lower the heat output to minimum so very economic… I would suggest having another pair of hands at the ready as I struggled with one part of assembly, but did manage on my own. Highly recommended

There is only one thing i like about this item is it looks good hence the 2 stars.Negative – Assembly was a bit of a struggle.Negative – Have been unable to get the thing to light.Made a mistake of assembling it first before trying it out.If anybody is getting one of these then please try it first. Could not be bothered to dismantle it due to the hassle of assembling it, so purchased a pack of lighter guns.Negative – The canopy when it showers fills up with water. If you light it after a shower then be aware the water boils and spits out over the top. Caught me a few times.Positive – Looks good.I would have returned this item if I had checked if it lights first. We have 3 other patio heaters so I am aware of how they work.Its a shame as we like the look of it and looks good on top of one of our tables.

The product finish looks really good and long-lasting. Well packaged and easy instructions. Weighted base means it is very stable and the controls feel solid. Great heater and uses a lot less gas than our fire pit.

The claims of Stainless Steel are a little miss-leading, it should say ‘cheap poor quality stainless steel’ as it does rust after it has been wet. I used this at the tail end of 2018, come spring 2019 it came out (still a little chilly some evenings), and low and behold, it is no-longer shiny and steel looking, but brown and crusty, despite being in a dry/heated out building all winter. An outdoor heater that is best if it never gets wet! It was a bit of a PITA to assemble too.As for its effectiveness, and controlling it, it pretty good as a heater. It just wont last many years unfortunately due to the low-quality materials used.

Was gutted, as all pieces correct and present and was looking forward to using but then found out Calor don’t except new customers for gas bottles, so not able to use. This would of been super helpful to know before I purchased this!!!!!!!

This is a nice looking and very sturdy table top patio heater. Generates lots of heat. Brilliant easy connect to gas and quick connect splitter on the hose. Makes it very easy to feed hose through hole in table. Easy to install (although the instructions show one weighted base plate whereas you actually get a brick type weight with a small circular silver plate to hold it in place).

Excellent patio heater dose the job well.Mine arrived slightly damaged bottom gaurd bent and the chrome plating was flakey and some fell off !A bit fiddly to assemble but overall pleased with it.

This is a great table top patio heater we sit six round our table and everybody is warm.it took 30 minutes to assemble with easy instructions this is really good heater.this is my second Sahara heater the first lasted a least 12 years

Brilliant, really hot and worth the money, I bought two, and use them under the large pergola.I purchased two large wooden planters from B&Q painted them and turned them upside down and they hide the gas bottles perfectly, and the lamps sit on top with no hoses visible.

I have had two now.On both….the lid/shield does not fit…it is too large…it was impossible to attache the wire guards and the guide holes are in the incorrect place.I did manage to bend the wires on our first heater with a pair of pliers just so that we could use it.I had 1/2 a bottle of patio gas and after only a short time the heater went out even though there was 1/4 tank of gas left in bottle (regulator on gas bottle showed 1/4 full and you could feel the liquid gas in the bottle when shaken) maybe a faulty valve but who knows…both have been sent back to supplier

I purchased this patio heater less then two months ago. It fits its purpose well BUT it has already started rusting. If a product is sold for outside use then surely it should be made of materials that are suitable. Would not recommend anyone buying this as I can’t imagine it would last very long at all.
