A bargain and works very well.
Looked at these a few times a few times before purchasing. Also read the reviews good and bad. At the price I got these for it was hard not to buy them. I’m more than impressed with them. They do the job they are designed to do very well. My vehicle is a front wheel drive automatic ford mondeo mk4 2.2 titanium x sport estate. So it’s most definitely not a lightweight. I saw no signs of buckling or deformation when they were taking maximum weight of the vehicle. They attached securely to my ramps giving confidence in them not slipping. The clearance was good too. I can recommend these if your vehicle low skirts to get it onto .maintenance ramps.

Very cheap but very poor build quality
First off, they do do the job … just! They’re very crudely welded together using bits of angle iron. The welds are ok but the item is slightly twisted from the off. They’re also rather short so only just work to allow my car (Alfa 159 estate) to clear my ramps, which are already quite shallow. To be honest I can’t moan given the very low cost, but they are essentially built is some blokes shed and then spray painted.

Car ramp – Cougar Ramp Mate
A reasonable product for the price. Build quality OK if a little thinner than expected. Used with a 2008 VW polo 1.4 TDI. and a 2002 Saab 9-3. The ramp held up well with the lighter polo but observed a reasonable amount of flex with the Saab although still cleared the bumper/fenders. The saab is a significantly heavier car although no permanent deformation of the ramps. If you have an average car this will be just fine for you.. if you have something a little larger (in which case you probably don’t need this) then you might be better with something heavy duty.

Cheap and sturdy extensions that allow you to use your ramps with a low fronted car
I used these so I could get my SAAB onto my ramps. This car is no lightweight but the extensions coped well. Remember that the extensions will be narrower than your ramps so it can be slightly disconcerting when lining the tyres/extensions up. Simple product that does its job.

Adapter for low slung vehicles on a ramp
This addition to your ramps stops you scraping the spoilers of low slung vehicles. I wish I had bought it years ago. It stops all the hassle of getting a vehicle up on ramps brilliant idea .

Ramp extensions
I bought these because the front of my car is too low to drive onto the ramps, I have only given 4 stars not because of the quality, because they are very good but because I feel they would have been better if they weren’t so narrow, but I think they will still do the job, you just have to be more careful when driving onto them.

Okay for light cars only!
Fairly well constructed, but beware of Safe Working Load. My Hyundai Coupe SIII is about 1300 Kg weight, and one of the extension ramps has bent, indicating a more robust item would be more suitable for larger cars. Suitable for light cars only!

Does the job
I needed these to do an oil change on a chrysler 300c. It has a low front spoiler preventing the normal run up on standard ramps. These extensions did the job. However, in the instructions they do acknowledge a slight set in them after use. ie, they bend a bit. Mine did bend quite a bit, but to be fair the 300c is quite a heavy car. They still work with a set in them, but I think I will have to try and straighten them (by running over them upside down). Could do with a bit more support underneath.

Ramp mate extenders – essential for low-slung cars
I bought the Cougar ramps but realised I couldn’t drive forwards onto them due to the low valence on my RS Twingo (weapon of a car by the way). These extenders solved the problem and are a lot more robust than blocks of wood. They’re a lot narrower than the ramps themselves but more than strong enough for a light car. I paid £10 or £12 including postage so I’m very happy.

Not suree it’s suitable for vans.
Not sure suitable for vans. First time I used the ramp extension they bent a bit – that was in my T6 VW Caravelle. Having said that, they did the job stopping the front splitter catching on the main ramps and they will work again so I’m not unhappy.

Really good
Bought these because my 2008 ford Focus bumper is too low to avoid my ramps.Place these on the 2nd rung of the ramps and no problem.I have seen other reviews about these extensions bending but not a bit of that for me, the front end weight of my Focus is just over 1,000 kgs and no bending at all!No sharp edges either. They are a bit narrow but just position in the centre of the ramps and move up to the tyre making sure they are in line with the wheels and no problem!I would say these are good value, very strong and delivered very quickly.I’m more than happy with my purchase.

Does exactly what it says and easily stored away.
I have an Mx5 and linked to my normal ramps have the low angle required to get my car raised enough to work on. At last! I can do my own oil change.

Solves a significant problem
As a DIY mechanic I sometimes need to work under our various cars, and have long had a pair of ramps. However, the majority of the cars we have had are too low for the bodywork to clear the top of the ramps, and the ramp angle is also so steep that the ramps tend to slip on the driveway surface – not great for safety! However, these extensions neatly solve both problems, making the ramps far more useful – highly recommended!

Bend very easily
Looked good but unfortunately not upto the job. I only used them for a low slung vauxhall astra and one of the Ramps couldn’t take the weight these are now no good to me waste of money in my eyes unless supplier would like to get in touch if they had a faulty batch I don’t know. But I’d like to replace these now ruined one’s as the product isn’t for for its purpose

Useless
Could not get my BMW F30 M-sport off the ground with this on any of the settings. My front splitter just would not clear it. I even ended up damaging my front splitter trying. I instead used two planks of wood (same thickness as the ones you see used on scaffolding) and that worked an absolute treat.

Poor finish, sharp edges.
The items were in a sealed bag with instructions from the manufacturer so assume they were genuine so very disappointed to find sharp edges on the face edges of both ramp extensions. Before I dare use them I had to spend a long time filing the edges down and then re-painting them to prevent rusting. Not a product I would recommend although the items were low cost.

Not fit for purpose
Not fit for purpose. Our car a Citroen C5 is a standard enough vehicle, but on first use the ramps bent badly and the paint cracked.I would rate them as useless and a total waste of money.Metal used is not thick enough ramps are not wide enough.

Disappointing Purchase
I was surprised just how narrow the ramps are, and with the angle iron facing upwards they look to damage wide tread tyres.I have now bolted wood blocks between the metal work and I am now content with the ramps.

Ramp
Used this to get under my 3 series. My car sits quiet low at front, not so so low but if I didn’t use these it would rip off my front lip! These just go over the standard ramps and you drive up, just make sure the ramps are not on smooth surface to avoid it slipping! Good quality, Sturdy and good value.

Better than expected
After reading some other reviews I was concerned that these were flimsy badly made items. However I’ve had no problems at all driving a 1.5T car onto them. They didn’t deform at all. The claimed narrowness isn’t an issue, as these are only to get the nose of the car a bit higher, so it can drive up the main ramps, they need to be wide and stable, but not these extensions. I would definitely recommend them to others who have low hanging cars that have issues with front bumpers, valances etc catching on their ramps.
hudsoblis_0 –
Exactly what you need.
Always had problems getting lowered cars into my ramps. It would slip and scrape as the angle was too much. Didn’t know if this would be enough to fix the issue. It works. Makes it a breeze to get the cars on and off!! Cheap. Solid. And works. Couldn’t ask for better

Car ramp extensions
Well made extensions that perform exactly as expected. I would have preferred them to be slightly wider to make it easier to drive up – but as they are the start point of the ramp, it doesn’t really matter a great deal. All in all, a good buy that should last for years.
brer183 –
Don’t bother
These ramps are so narrow they’d only be useful for a pushbike tyre. They barely cover the middle 1/3 of my fiesta’s tyre. It means you’re driving on the narrow raised ridge rather than the supporting plate. Honestly, pay a bit extra for wider ones.

Ramp extensions
The finish is poor with lots of sharp edges but a good going over with a grinder makes them usable.

Well packaged and looks great not sure of longeivity.
It worked ok for the car (Astra hatchback) but has bent quite a bit. Paint has then blistered around the bends.
ala_scam –
Brilliant idea.
Excellent product, just the job if you have a very low car like my classic mini.If I attempted to drive this onto a pair of ramps without these extensions my sports exhaust would hit the ground for sure.
BXHVA8J4T2S@Del… –
weak item
The item has bent/ buckled under the weight of a standard Honda Civic. I can not trust the item.

Stronger than they look
Read reviews on these ramps thinking would they take the weight of my car (insignia)and they did I put a bit of support under the ramps a few bits of wood as a PrecautionBut these are a must for vehicles with low ground clearance or front and rear splitters.did the job and glad I bought them 👍
