Perfect little chair which we bought to take to a festival. It’s very light and there’s space in the bag to put a jumper and bits and bobs so we weren’t taking loads of gear with us. They’re sturdy and comfy and easy to put up and pack away.Carry them across your back so perfect if you want to bop in the crowds. Will take them camping and hiking as they are light to carry.Arrived very quickly so highly recommend the product and the seller!!

I recently bought this chair to take on a motorcycle camping trip. Out of 10 of us, only two of us had these little chairs (of different brands) and everyone else was wishing they had one. Conceptually, it’s a great product. This chair in particular comes with multiple attachment points, making it easy to attach to the bike. It’s fairly comfortable for its size and kept me happy for a long weekend. My main con is with its stability. Compared to my friends with other branded chairs, this was the least stable of them all. I think it’s related to the feet of the chair, but it just felt like it had a fair amount of side-to-side wobble and would tip on slightly unstable mud.Other than that, it’s a brilliant little chair and surprisingly comfortable.

THIS CHAIR IS FOR PEOPLE NO BIGGER THAN ME!!! IM 14.5 STONE AND A 36 INCH WASTE. IT FEELS LIKE IT WILL BREAK AFTER TOO MUCH USE ON UNEVEN GROUND. BUT SAYING THAT ITS STILL UP!! NICE CHAIR. BE WARNED LARGER SIZED PEOPLE WILL HAVE AN ISSUE…..
Graham West –
Bought for a camping trip, little flimsy but stayed in one piece and folds up conviently perhaps I’m a bit heavy for it but kept me off the damp ground.
Chris Harris –
The chair is surprisingly comfortable for such a small low chair it is is very compact and light. Time will tell how robust it is but it feels well made and nicely engineered.

When I first opened it, I thought it was a child chair… however what I also like is that the bars are all attached very much like a camping tent, so it really straightforward to put together, as the frameworks are all connected with wire to make it simple and easy to collapse. The item is lightweight, and it’s the first time I have purchased something like this, so I cannot compare it to another leading brand for weight, however, compared to other chairs I have purchased for camping weekends away, this is by far the highest and most compact, and is easy enough to fit inside a backpack, without worrying about filling your car boot with all the other extras may take for a simple camping break or weekend away.I’ve only tested it for 10-15 mins … seems like it’s going to last. It’s quite low down which may be a problem to some people, but perfectly fine for me and will also sit nicely inside my text. [ tent height 160 cm] The framework is a mix between Aluminium and plastic I think, which may present problems later on, especially if the plastic break holding the framework together. Although if you are more on the larger size this may be an unsuitable chair, I’m 5’9 and 73kg and it’s a comfortable tight fit.The material seems strong enough, and the 4 access points for the poles are reinforced to make it more sturdy. I’ve only given it 4 stars simple because plastic has been used, where if the framework reinforced Aluminium it would have received 5 stars. However, this isn’t to say that it’s rubbish or that you will have any problems…I’m already planning on purchasing another, but I shall update in a couple of weeks once I’ve properly used it for a week backpacking trip. I first glance I think it is going to be okay and compared to other leading brands that are twice the price, I think this bargain. But keep in mind it’s low down, and if you are more towards the larger size, then it might not be suitable. – This isn’t me being rude, Just there are that many fake reviews by companies paying people to lie, while companies say anything to get you to waste your money, and the amount of money I’ve personally wasted on c**p after reading fake reviews is untrue.Overall, seems well made. Would be much better if all the fame work was constructed in some kind of reinforced metal for added sturdiest, rather than using plastic. [which does give a cheap feel, but not to the point where it feels and looks tack]The fame work does feel a little flimsy, but no major issues. The fact it’s lightweight, and will easily fit in a backpack is great, and for £37 compared to other leading brands at £70-120 … this is perfect. I love the fact, that all the bars and poles are all connected with a support wire running through them, so you’ll never misplace one and they can’t get lost while on the move or backpacking, and makes it super simple to put together in seconds and collapse. It might be wise to also purchase the leg support too… I do think this could be a possible design flaw, especially on softer ground.. where they’ll sink into the earth, even though it does have grips on each foot, they seem pretty useless. – but as long as you keep that in mind when placing, you’ll be fine. 🙂
Great quality. The product is very fine and very convenient to take it anywhere. –
Great Quality

I ordered this and the Trail Hawk and tried them side by side. I liked the colours and the lightness of the KAMUI but with it being so light in construction when I sat in it their was a little too much side to side movement that didn’t instil me with confidence to how long it would last with regular use compared to the competitor which was obviously a little more heavier but a lot more sturdier and the bonus of it having a soft ground mat included for £5 cheaper so KAMUI got returned.

I got 2 of these chairs. With the first one, I struggled to get the cover on but it was a bit easier with the second one. I have left them assembled hoping the covers will stretch making it easier to assemble when I need to take them out on walks. I was surprised how light they are and don’t feel as if they are 900g. My water bottle is heavier to carry! The bag is quite roomy. I live in an apartment and I can quite easily carry the chair because it is so light, and follow the sun in the grounds. It does wobble but is sturdy and it is quite low and quite narrow. It is good that you can lean back and feels comfortable but if I sit forward then the arms dig in a bit. I was worried it might be difficult to get up from it but I have managed to get up ok. I think they are handy to have and fold up small in their own bags and so they don’t take much storage room. I will probably take them to the park and assemble them because it is better than sitting on the grass. The reason I got the chairs is that I get out of breath having a lung condition and sometimes there are no benches along the way to rest. So hopefully the chairs will be easier to put together once they have stretched and I have 2 of them, so whoever is with me can also sit down as well. It would be good if they were a bit higher and a bit wider but I will be keeping them.

Totally shocked on how well this held up to my 20 stone brother sitting on it

excellent service fast delivery item as described ,I’ve purchased other beach /camping chairs but none lasted very long.after seeing this kamui chair while on holiday the guy recommended it to me as he has had it for some years with no trouble.looks strong and easy to erect so we’ll see
Simon –
Sturdy, first time set up fiddly but once set up all good
Gwen Jacquet –
Very lightweight, although it was be great to have other colours to choose from.
Richard –
Super light and fits in my 30l trespass rucksack with plenty of space for fishing tackle, bate box, binoculars camera and a spare hoodie. Easy and fast putting together and even easier taking apart and folding it into the bag. Perfect for bird watching, fishing, camping
david slade –
I was dubious to start with as it looks similar to other items by other brands much more expensive. Upon setting it up it was nice and sturdy and the extra nubbins on the feet prevented it sinking into the Dartmoor mud too much. It is lighter than some other brands of a similar price point and also they don’t seem to have the extra flared nubbin on the feet to prevent you sinking.Overall a good chair that will hopefully last a long time! (will update this review if anything changes)

At last I have a chair that I like.I like how light this chair actually is and that I can set it up in less than a minute. I’ve been using it in my living room as I’m not camping Untill the summer so not had chance to give it a once over. My friend has one of these so I tested his out and it’s nice and sturdy.
Derek Gorman –
Solid product, folds up small enough. Decent for its price. I’d recommend it.
Mr P. –
Love how portable this chair is, looks cool, set up and packdown is easy, bag is cool. Must say it’s not as comfy as a normal camping chair but still comfy. Slightly overpriced I’d say though

Great lightweight chair for taking on bushcraft or camping trips.
mr s pradhan –
Great chair for outdoor. Very string and sturdy. Amazing value for price paid.
Dr Mez –
It’s a nice trade-off between weight and sturdiness, while staying robust. It works quite well. Easy to set up and doesn’t feel ‘narrow’ to sit in. Comes in a bag that can be slung over the shoulder or clipped to your rucksack. Bought two for the kid too, and they’ve been quite happy with it – light enough for them to carry their own for an hour.
simon johns –
Lightweight compact and easy to assemble
andrew burn –
Really good value for money. Extremely easy to put up.

Looked at a lot of these chairs and went with this one based on customer ratings and it’s wider feet as I wanted it for softer ground.Chair has only been used once but it performed really well. It is light, very easy to assemble once you get the knack of stretching the fabric and very comfortable.Construction seems solid, time will tell when it gets more use, but initial impressions are that it’s a great value, well made chair.Dismantling and folding up is simple and the bag is well made and slightly oversize making it easy to pack.I have been impressed by the product overall and it’s actually far more comfortable than I was expecting. You can happily sit in it for extended periods and feel supported regardless of the ground underneath.Well worth it.

I had my eye on this for my wild camping trips for a bit more comfort round the campfire. I tried a Roebens pathfinder golden Brown in store at Snow and Rock which is very similar and very impressive but £60 rather than the £27 I paid for this.I am not dissapointed one bit! It weighs just about 908gms which although is about 150 grams more than my trusty tripod seat its like sitting in an armchair in comparrison. There are much lighter/smaller compact seat options out there which I will probably buy as well for those longer hikes where I need to save more weight but this is a great mix of comfort for the size and weight.I like that the fact of the chairs are designed not to sink in the mud which always happens with my tripod chair.Very easy to set up and pack away again.looks to be well made with and although I’ve not yet field tested I think it will last a long time. I am around 5’10 and 85kg and feels like it will easily hold somebody over 6ft and 100kg.The colour goes well with the rest of my gear and the light weight carry bag it comes in fits perfectly side ways on the back/bottom of my 45 liter Army desert camo bergen.
Fenrir thomas –
Found this to be a great chair, my on criticism is the chair is rather small but still plenty big enough for a tall adult. Very compact and extremely light
Lucas –
One of the main reasons that I picked this product is that it was advertised as aircraft grade aluminium joints, but unfortunately they are just plastic. Misadvertisement at its best… Otherwise great little chair.

Price rise of £11 since January 2019 when I bought mine, though this seems to be the case with most of the very similar ones here on Amazon that are made in China and go under various names. I got this one as it was the only on the market in a kind of drab olive green. It is largely similar in design to the other one I have, apart from the addition of the mesh pocket on this one which is handy. However, unlike the one I got about two years ago and is still standing fine (and was cheaper at the time) I reckon I only got about 3 months out of this Kamui one before the elastic tension keeping two of the legs together, just broke on me one day (photo attachment showing it). I never got around to chasing the company up about it. The chair is still usable by slotting the free legs in, but it means I can’t just pick it up anymore and move it about. It was a dissapointingly short life on the elastic durability at least. Everything else is still intact and fine.
Observer –
I searched long and hard for a lightweight camping chair. There are a miriad of slight variations on a common theme. One of the negatives of this kind of chair is that on sand or soft ground, the legs will sink in.The Kamui was the only chair that I could see that had tried to resolve this issue. The chair is ease to assemble, sturdy and very comfortable. It’s very light and packs down really small, making it a perfect backpacking option.I took a chance by not paying more for one of the recognised brands. However, the Kamui seems every bit as good and the feet make it better in that regard.I’m very happy with my chair.

I’ve wanted something that is more comfy than sitting on the ground but also fits in a backpack. This chair is really very lightweight – it measured 978g on my kitchen scales. That’s basically exactly the same weight as the Helinox One chair but at a significantly lower price. It also comes with a book-sized side pocket and anti-sink feet, which no other lightweight camping chairs on the market seem to be offering.Overall, I’m really impressed with how good this chair is for the price. If I had one complaint, it would be that the chair isn’t perfectly stable if you lean all the way backwards or if you lean far forwards diagonally. I think it might be a bit unfair to expect these types of small camping chairs to be perfect here, though.Did it achieve my hope of providing something more comfortable than sitting on the ground while also being portable? Yes!Pros:- Very lightweight (978g).- You’re getting a chair that’s almost as good quality as some chairs that are two to three times the price.- Pocket in the side.- Anti-sink feet so the legs don’t end up buried in soft ground.- Carry bag fits into a backpack.- Easy setup. It’s just like setting up a tent pole.- Comfortable for what it is.- Feels much more robust sitting in it than it looks at first.Cons:- Bit of a fight with the leg poles on the first setup, but it becomes easier after the first time.- A bit of instability leaning very far back or far forwards and diagonally.- Not going to be as comfortable as those very heavy, traditional camping chairs.- It’ll take up too much space if you’re part of the ultralight gang.- You might struggle to fit if your bum is on the larger size.

A lightweight and easy to assemble chair. I have used it to have a seat in the car that I can use when visiting. When it is not possible to go into someone’s home it is great to have a seat with you. As it is very lightweight and compact it is very useful for this. The chair is very comfortable and feels very stable. I believe the weight rating with confidence. I would not recommend this chair if mobility is a concern, the design sits you in a squat position and hugs you.In review a great chair to have with you, and as it is so compact and lightweight you can bring it almost anywhere.
Bradley King –
It looks good and feels quite comfortable and is very lightweight & sturdy, looking forward to a few more outdoor adventures.

This chair was perfect for camping during my motorcycle tour. Light weight, easy set up and to pack away. I’m sure it wouldn’t take much abuse, but I sat down carefully and was perfectly comfortable.
Geoff Thompson –
We all want the helinox chair zero but this is the second best choice on the market. It is very well made and reasonably light weight. The attachments on the legs clinch it. I used it in soft ground in the woods and it performed perfect. Coupled with the reasonable price, it really is the best Helinox alternative out there (or I could find at least).
snapdarragh –
Handy to have a chair you can take on a walk, to the beach, sporting event, camping etc that doesn’t take up much room, can go in a bag and is light weight, but sturdy to sit in. Quick to set up and collapse. We chose this chair because after comparing it to another one, it had the best support for the back and largest room when sitting.Would recommend. Haven’t had it that long so cannot say what it is like long term, but so far, so good.

You can pick these chairs up with your pinky finger. Set up takes 30 seconds, dismantle 30 seconds. My hubby and I are not small, size 14, he’s 15st+. Took these on a picnic yesterday, sat in them for 5 hours straight, not sofa comfy but did the job brilliantly. Bag supplied is great, no stuffing required, roll the poles in the chair cover and done. Carry strap really handy and the loops are perfect for strapping to the back of our motorbikes for picnic rides out. Will also be great for camping. They seam pricy but for micro lightweight gear these are a bargain.UPDATEAfter hours and hours of use on camping trips, three months later these chairs are still brilliant.
D R H Hope-Jones –
It is a very neat package and better quality than others I have used. The larger diameter feet makes a HUGE difference. I have used another deign which just sinks straight down in any kind of soft ground, this one doesnt. It is small, lightweight and well made. Have used a reasonable amount and no wear and tear yet.Not the same level of comfort, seat height or stability as a larger camping chair (the standard folding type) but it is one third the size. Don’t buy if you want to sit round a table and eat your meal every night, but for lighter weight camping these are excellent.

Can’t fault this little chair, well made, sturdy, robust, easy to assemble and disassemble and great value for money I’m an avid wild camper and youtuber so fulfils all my needs.
Scorpiotoo –
If you have arthritis or difficulty in your hands this chair is for you as I could actually put it up unlike so many others. I like the camo pattern and the slightly larger bag. Product is very well made Japanese company but unfortunately made in China. Chair is a little on the small side bottom wise I would say people over 12 stoneish might find it a tight fit
Amazon Customer –
I used this chair once and it was a very comfortable easy to put up chair, however the next time I used it I realised the left front leg felt off. I looked down to find the stopper on the end had snapped. Very disappointed because everyone I know to have them have never had a problem with them!
Mixter –
I returned it as it was a bit tight to sit in. Quite sturdy and a better pocket and feet than the dearer onetigris chair that I replaced it with. Onetigris a bit sturdier and holds heavier weight, but this kamui one has a few better features if your under 100kg. And quite a bit cheaper/lighter than onetigris.

Best fishing chair I ever bought.3 years old now and still working perfect with no signs of wear or tear, I’m no lightweight either! Used regularly for fishing/camping trips, packs away small and lightweight to carry……..love it.
Dan –
Packs up nice and small. Good use for military application. Fits into daysack nicely. Quick assembly/disassembly and helpful that all the poles are attached to save losing one.
Emma-Lou –
Of no use to my partner as it’s too small for him!
W North –
I’ve used this hiking a few times now and also a wild camp, it’s easy to set up and rigid and had no problems with it.
Will –
It’s quick and easy to set up and pack away, fits inside the carrying case without any issue – unlike some camping chairs which have to be placed precisely at the correct angles to fit in their cases – and it’s comfortable enough to sit in for hours. Others have complained that you don’t sit upright enough in the chair, but I honestly prefer the more relaxed posture. I guess it could be an issue if you’re trying to use it as a dining chair, but otherwise it’s perfect for sitting. No issues with sturdiness so far, and can’t see any reason it would develop problems over time.
Amazon Customer –
Comfortable 4 stars. Used it at the NEC caravan and motorhome show as all the convenient close seats taken. Quick and easy for me to assemble but my wife struggled a bit. (Does not have the strength in her arms). A bit low and not as upright as my wife would like. Bought for her as she gets tired quite easily. It is kept in the boot of the car for easy access when out and about. Light and easy to carry. Good value for money.
Ruth –
This rule is a lightweight chair. It folds away into a very neat bag, with handles and a shoulder strap. It is easy to carry and very easy to set up, clicking into place without the need for instructions. It is sturdy and the feet are wide to help prevent sinking into the ground. My husband finds it comfortable, though it does rather disappear behind him so he looks as though he is floating!
nick hopkinson –
Descent light weight chair, a little wobbly when sat on it and you move around, will have to see how it stands up to a bit of use with it having a plastic yolk for holding the frame together and the 4 points which go into the frame on the canvas seat they could possibly wear, yes happy with what arrived.

Light weight chair. Sturdy and comfortable. Sits a bit low to the ground.Easy to asseble .
