Not bad for the price paid . Only issue is with quality control at manufucture point . One of the slats fell in half as I removed it from the package. I think it was the varnish holding it together. I huge black knott running the full width of the slat meant that it could never been any good . Whoever packaged this should have noticed. I replaced it myself with a stronger piece of timber . I thought it quicker than making a compaint. I do appreciate that timber has Knotts. I am fairly happy with the end result.

Not very big, to get three people on they’d have to be super slim, it’s more like a two seater. Not very sturdy, but you do get what you pay for so for what I paid this is about what I expected, it’s mainly for our cat to sit on in the sun and she isn’t very heavy, she may allow someone to sit there with her and that will be OK. Quite simple to put together, I managed with a pair of pliers and a screwdriver as I had no spanners. Not sure how long the wooden slats will last, they may need sanding and repainting fairly soon but at present it looks nice and will do the job just fine over the summer. It isn’t as heavy as I expected but shouldn’t blow away, and as we live high up in windy city that is good to know. I’d say if you can afford more go for a more substantial one but if you choose this one it is useable but won’t last many years.

Bench arrived on time and I unpacked it and realised the quality of it is very poor, didn’t assemble it but put it back in the packaging, contacted the seller who replied stating I have to pay to return the bench . Explained why it was getting rejected because of the quality. Same replyBe careful when ordering , check returns policy.

Hard to assemble and very flimsy. Already had to reinforce bottom slats. Would have returned but was too late once I got round to fixing it together. Definitely would not recommend. Waste of money. Looks good but not for for purpose

This bench is amazing, for the price it’s a cracking purchase. The non-wooden bits had a lovely green wash over the black to give it a super funky, expensive looking finish. The wood is treated and a lovely light colour. After reading some of the other reviews I was wary, as I’m a larger lady, but these concerns were totally unfounded! ITS A SMASHING SUBSTANTIAL bench. More than adequately comfortable for a larger person. Can’t believe it’s as cheap as it is. I bought it for the front of the house, but I think it might get pinched so it’s gone in my back cottage garden which is quaint and really pretty, the bench looks perfect.I can’t praise this bench highly enough! Highly recommended and very pretty.

I bought two of these seats because they are amazingly cheap. Have bought four of these in the past and they are OK but eventualy the wood rots. The slats are made of soft wood as you would expect but then varnished. So you can’t treat them with preservative. The worught iron bits are fine, you could replace the wood when it rots. Best bet just dump and buy new ones after 5 years.

Not strong enough as a three seater bench. Wooden slats bend with the weight of even one person. The plastic back not ideal for a bench. Bench ends not strong enough. Cheap but not good. Only a few washers supplied. Not what I was looking for. See photo showing bent in the slat after a few days use by just one light weight person. This is more like a toy.

Sides and back are cast iron. It is essential to consider the cost which is amazingly cheap. The first back was broken but they replaced that straight away wihout any quible. I have now replaced all the wood with hard wood and the fixings with stainless steel all brought from ebay. Total cost is still excellent value for money. Well plased.

I did wonder whether this would be any good given the cheap price, but I’m delighted with It looks very pretty, and it’s lightweight so easily moved around the lawn if you’re chasing the sun! I’m not sure how it would stand up to heavy weight but fine for me. My husband doesn’t find it very comfortable to sit on for too long, I think it’s fine.

This seat is very flimsy and I would not recommend it to be used by more than one adult I weigh 75kg and the seat bows when i sit on it but it is very nice looking so if you just want something for a corner to sit and read on this is the one for you

Very hard to assemble, doing the sides 1st as instructed the seating slats wouldn’t fit so had to do it in reverse order bracket that goes underneath does not fit properly it wont reach the bk slat I have brought extra brackets and fitted them myself because it’s not very sturdy at all , to be honest very disappointed

The seat arrived in excellent time, however the box was damaged and when opened we found the left hand cast iron leg broken. As with other reviews the back is plastic and not metal, the timber is very poor quality so not as stated in the ad, not very happy and surprised that Amazon lets them get away with lying about the product. We will not purchase from this company again, the leg will get repaired by my local engineering workshop. Cheap, but costly in the end, other people have returned the seat but not received a replacement so we’re not even trying.

This is a solid garden bench with cast iron legs and a wooden seat. It represents value for money, is easy to assemble and was delivered very promptly. I decided to paint the wooden parts rather than retain the original varnish finish which tends to give the item a rather cheap look

The seller clearly states that the back of the bench is cast iron BUT IT IS PLASTIC!!! This is obviously misleading and untrue. Having said that, the plastic is sturdy and comfortable to the back when leaning against it. Overall, te bench is attractive, of quite good quality and easy to erect.

Very disappointing quality which is unusual from an Amazon Supplier.Cardboard box was broken and cast iron leg of bench was hanging outside the box because it was not secured in the box. The slag (waste) of the cast iron legs had not been removed and broke off during assembly. Wooden seat slats were poor quality and gaps had been filled with a different coloured material to the wood that was used. Why did I not return it? I presumed that as I bought cheap I got cheap

This Bench has an excellent build and is very supportive of a bulky couple… (Don’t Ask!) – We did repaint the battens to give the seat a more complete & suitable outdoor coat, but that simply gives it a little extra longevity.Well Done, a very good product.Dave $

Delivery was fantastic, arrived within 48 hours. However external packaging was damaged. Once opened we found that on checking the contents that there were some parts missing. i.e. the support struts, washers and nuts. The finished timber leaves a lot to be desired. ie edges missing, unsmooth sanding, no varnish on back of wood. Also the seat back has vertical pieces of wood which are totally different from the rest of the framework, in fact it is even a different thickness! It will do for the allotment because no family will use it or see it!

One of the seat slats was warped – contacted seller for a replacement slat to try and make things easy for them, they wanted photographs to prove the slat was warped. My son clamped it for a few days to bring it back into shape rather than disassemble the entire bench, repack and haul off to Post Office to return – May have been too large for this in any event. Suggest you look at other benches, mine is pretty useless.

Have had a terrible experience with this purchase. Firstly bench arrived broken. When they eventually collected it they promised to deliver me a new bench. They didnt!!! Iv emailed them twice and they have ignored both emails. I have now asked for a refund and im still waiting to have the money put back into my account. Iv had NO apology and have been treated badly. If id read the other reviews before i ordered and paid for this bench i would have seen its normal practice for them to send out these benches broken. Please do not buy from these people . There are plenty more people you can buy from. BEWARE!!!!!!!

It’s ok but I don’t like the plastic back, makes it a bit tacky. I’ve repainted both the cast iron legs and the plastic bag in black and I think it looks a little better.

The bench arrived soon enough. However, it has a plastic back whereas the description says it’s a cast iron back. (False advertising?)The slats don’t look strong enough to support one person never mind three persons.I will have to strengthen the seat slats and put some plywood behind the ‘non’ cast iron back.A couple of good coats of varnish wouldn’t go amiss either.Unless you just want to look at it, don’t buy this product.

The reason for me choosing the 3 star rating is that its great value but could use a better structure. Very pleased overall and would defiantly buy cheaply from here again 🙂

The back is made up 8 pieces of wood glued together 3 at the top and 3 at the bottom,the join is very visible. The side bits (bits is being polite) don’t line up filler will be needed to solve this.The bottom is soft and bends if anyone weighing more than 11st sits on it. The wood at the bottom needs sanding before assembling as there is a lot of wood filler used on it, which isn’t nice on your clothes. Only good thing was that there was enough screws, nuts and bolts, pity there were no washers for the nuts as fastening a nut to metal usually recommends a washer between the two.

This is definitely a bargain, it’s not top quality, it does need an extra coat of varnish when you put it together but for £30 that is totally fine with me.

Arrived pretty quickly. Took a bit of time to assemble as I had to re drill some holes as they did not line up properly. It’s OK for the time being but I will be replacing it with a more sturdy bench. I don’t think it is good value for money and I would not recommend buying it.

Easy to assemble but only up 3 days before one of the slats split at the end- only one person had sat on it which was me and I am not overweight. Under heavy rain wood already turning black and it looks years old in under a month. Not a robust product at all and probably worth paying more for some quality.

I Purchased this garden bench from Bargains Galore to replace one I had had for several years,and after looking at a similar product in my local DIY I decided to purchase this particular one through Amazon as I have mobility problems and free delivery was attractive to me.The description stated that it had cast iron legs and back not the plastic one BYERS BEWARE the back rose effect is plastic,and not cast iron as stated!!I feel let down by Amazon and the seller and will return to the High Street in the future.
