2 Seater Metal Garden Bench Patio Outdoor Park Porch Chair

Like the bench but started rusting already on the welcome sign

after 1 day ion the garden a yellow mould like growth appeared on the front of the Welcome panel. some of it could be cleaned off but a lot remained. I have had to paint it with a metal primer and then paint it with a Black metal paint. Whatever the yellow growth is, it has stained a black t shirt.

I just wanted to share with you the issues I found when putting up the bench as I’d had to wait until my parents anniversary to put it together.Unfortunately it wasn’t the best when it came to attaching the back.In typical male style I swore a few times at the instructions, the bench and the family dog as he was wanting to help but only got in the way.The screws supplied for the back were not sufficient as not only were they too small but they didn’t attach to anything and there was only 4 nuts which is displayed in the instructions.So after taking it apart to make sure I’d not put the wrong screws in the lower half of the bench I re built it to be met with the same problem. So I had to go to B&Q to source 4 3 inch nuts and bolts in order to fasten the back on.Not a huge deal but seeming as the sentiment had gone after they had returned to see me cursing the air and then leaving with a bench in bits to get the screws needed to put it together it didn’t have the same affect I’d hoped and now I have 4 silver nuts and bolts on a black bench which I will have to spray as B&Q didn’t have any singular black ones.Other than that it’s a nice bench just be sure you have extra bits ready. Maybe I was un lucky and someone placed the wrong ones in the packets but even if that’s the case there is no where for the top screw to feed into so the side/arms just pull away.Which is how the instructions tell you to put it together…2 months after purchasing this item it has also started to Rust in several places where the screws supplied and on the arms as well as on the back of the chair.It is also breaking in one part.Do not waste your money on this item!! Awful product. Cheaply made. You might as well put your money on a decent one from a Garden centre

This will look alright once it is assembled, but I am disappointed because:1. The black powder coating is so thin you can scratch it off with your finger nail. This will certainly need a coat of Hammerite before winter to stop it rusting immediately2. The backrest is a very poor quality casting and very rough on all the edges of the letters (although it looks OK from a distance). This is the bench with the “WELCOME” backrest.3. Frustratingly, it came with the wrong nut and bolt set. The bolts were too short, and although there were 8 bolts (4 for the seat, 4 for the backrest) there were only 4 nuts and only 4 plastic caps. Buying longer M6 bolts, nuts, and caps has just cost me £18 extra on Amazon – but I can’t be bothered to pack up a large and heavy item and return it for a few missing nuts and bolts.4. Most of the bolts didn’t thread very easily anyway when I tried them with the nuts I did have. The quality of the bolts supplied with this is pretty poor (cheap),Therefore quality control from this manufacturer is very suspect indeed.My partner said when I do mange to get it together it should last a couple of years, so that’s the positive.I was looking forward to sitting on a nice bench in the garden tonight, but that isn’t to be.I’m annoyed and the shine has gone off this purchase for me.However, that said, I think the bench will be quite sturdy when it is finished and will look OK from a distance. I’m just going to have to remember to buy a paintbrush and can of Hammerite before winter, and allocate a spare couple of hours each year to do this additional garden job!!

So easy to assemble and looks great and delivered a few days earlier so we’ll pleased 😀

Very pleased with this bench. Was easy enough for me to put it together myself but the wrench supplied did not fit the nuts as was too big so used our own. Pleased with the price and the delivery was even better, came a lot earlier than expected.

it is a sturdy well constructed bench whitch shouldgive many years of good service all we need is the fine weather

Rusting within one month of purchase. Now painting it, with metal black paint to make it last longer than months. Not happy about spending my time repainting this bench due to rusting extremely quickly.

Love this seat- and very welcoming. Easy to put together – probs better having the help of someone else.Given 4 stars because little patches of surface rust have appeared around joints and the word ‘WELCOME’. Easily wiped off with a cloth, but I don’t want to have to do this every time it rains … which is A LOT in the South West!!

We are very pleased with the bench now there was an issue with the paintwork but the supplier sorted that out so very happy.
