very pleased with the bench – better colour than shown (not so red). Easy enough to assemble following the diagram provided – I assembled it by myself but would really need 2 people as at one point at the first set of instructions found it difficult to balance everything & it fell apart landing on my foot – after some hopping about & turning the air blue, I propped the other end up on the box it arrived in and completed the assembly. Looks well but now need a cushion

Spent some time looking at benches in this pricepoint and glad I chose this one. Assembly was ok and can be done solo, took me about an hour. The instructions are the ‘too cool for school’ type that have only pictures, no words. They would be better with some explanation.

Very pleased with this 2 seater bench, easy assembly, love the colour of the wood, which seems good quality wood, I guess time will tell. I’ve gone over it with teak oil and will give another coat as it’s new wood.It’s a nice deep seat which makes it very comfortable, (with or without a bench cushion)This bench is solid/sturdy so shouldn’t get blown about on a windy day! Unlike my last one, which wasn’t as nice as this one.Absolutely recommend this value for money bench.

I now have a decent bench, but only because I’d kept the screws from my previous, old, falling apart bench. This one was fairly obviously a return, because the packet holding the construction screws, and bolts etc, had been opened, and four of the screws were missing. If I’d not hung on to them, the bench would have had to go back.

It arrives as a flat pack but only takes about 15 minutes to assemble with clear instructions. Sturdy once assembled and roomy enough for two adults without being squashed together. Good colour and very comfortable. Maybe could do with an additional coat of oil or stain to cope with our wet weather.

When checking all the components before assembly, I found a bad split in one of the wooden sections. I noticed that the poor ratings from other buyers of this bench put it down to the same problem. The manufacturer’s quality control system must be questioned here. Needless to say I returned the bench. Check the wood before assembly!

Lovely garden bench. Easy to put together with 2 people and sturdy when finished. Comfy enough when sit directly on it but obviously cushions would make it more comfy. Looks good and only one little scratch on one of the pieces of wood.

TO AMAZON MODERATORSThis is a very critical review, both of the product and – for the first occasion ever, in 21 years – of Amazon. (It is this that makes me most unhappy.)It is, however, 100% honest. I hope that you will have the integrity (which I have always valued with Amazon) to print it or, at the very least, indicate how it should be amended to pass your scrutiny.——————————————————My experience with this product appears to be entirely different from the majority of customers, on whose positive reviews I based my decision to purchase two of these benches.The benches arrived in extraordinarily flimsy packing which, in both cases, had virtually fallen apart and had been rebagged by the carrier (this is of significance later)I cannot conceive how I could have treated the benches better but, if anyone – customer or manufacturer – has a suggestion as to what caused them to split, I would be happy to read it.When the benches arrived, I was struck how simply they were assembled and of what good quality the machining and good itself seemed to be. Once assembled, they were treated to two coats of recommended wood preservative and left in the garden during a largely warm and dry summer. They were used normally and we were very glad of them.In September, they were moved inside, to a secure, windowed (but curtained) stone building which is entirely damp free. Both were in apparently perfect condition and there they spent the winter.On removing the benches, this Spring, both were split in the same general areas. On one, the two side armrests were split badly. On the other, the side parts of the back were also split and, in fact, both one side of the back and its adjacent armrest had split to the extent that they simply fell apart.I am sad and sorry to say that this disappointment was made even more unacceptable by Amazon: indeed, this is the first time that I ever encountered a similar attitude.Despite my offer to send photographic evidence of the damage, Amazon insisted that both benches be returned. This was during the COVID lockdown and meant I had to find a carrier, drive to buy proper packaging (without which the carrier warned me that the packages would be refused, but I would still be charged) and return what was effectively, in one case, a pile of firewood, after which I would be reimbursed.In the end, I decided not to do this, although Amazon reimbursed me and I had to re-emphasise that I would not. be going through the hassle I have mentioned and would simply learn from the experience. I am out of pocket to a considerable amount, have one surviving, but badly damaged, product and have lost the faith I used to have in Amazon – at least as far as purchasing bulky goods is concerned.

Bought two of these at same time…only one delivered…one lost in transit…lol…(why they weren’t delivered together by amazon only they can say…now they said we may have to wait a week as it could arrive any day..any time……and they expect us to be in 24/7 twiddling our thumbs waiting for it.As for the one I got…it was a doddle to put together…5 minutes on my own…make sure you wd40 screws and bolts as it makes it easy to assemble…bolts are different in size so make sure you use long ones around seating bit…I tightened all screws and bolts at end…..bench itself is a nice autumn colour…once put together feels sturdy enough but lightweight…I can pick it up one handed…I got this in the sale £67 🐵 and feel it’s worth that price for a large 3 seater bench…so all in all a good bench….do not overtighten bolts or wood will split…just nick it half a turn…Allen key provided is adequate…instructions not needed,tho clear …now if only amazon can find my other bench …and why can’t they deliver items at the same time seeing as I ordered and payed for both benches at the same time.

Back frame wood cracked within days of receipt but was replaced by seller. 9 months later back frame cracking again despite being covered up in inclement weather and periodic teak oil treatment. I would not recommend this bench.

The wood started cracking after 2 years despite oiling and painting immediately after purchase. The bench totally fell apart after 4 with mostly a cat and 1 light person using it. Not durable

This is a good sturdy bench and considering the cost it offers what I consider to be good value for money. It was however poorly packed on arrival which meant it had become marked in transit. I kept it but if you want an unblemished item ( as it should be when it is brand new) I would suggest it is not the item for you as the way these are routinely packed they cannot fail to be marked on arrival.

This is a simple bench of standard design, like many others, and it looks good in a small garden. Assembly is basically simple although it really needs two people, and it can take a few tries to line up the nuts with the barrel bolts. There aren’t many of them, so although it’ll be strong enough for normal use, it might not take prolonged rough treatment by children. The bench is quite light and easily moved. I’ve given it four stars for comfort, which is a bit arbitrary. Obviously wooden benches aren’t like sofas, but the slats are close together and the back nicely angled, so it’s as comfortable as this kind of furniture is likely to get.

Delivery of the bench was quick enough, although the delivery driver delivered it next door even though we were home. Putting together the bench was quick and all tools for the job were provided, but once it was put together, it wasn’t as sturdy as the cheaper bench it was replacing. Maybe I just expected a bit more for the over £120 I had spent!

This bench is attractive and easy to assemble. Probably a bit too orange colour for my liking. Perfectly adequate but I’d say it’s a budget brand as the arm came with a crack. The customer services team were very helpful and sent out a new end piece. This was better but did have a split by the leg but not as noticeable so I kept it as was fed up with sending emails and photos. Over all ok but I would not order as I present as slightly sub standard .

This seats description said it had brass fittings, NO, they are brass coloured and will rust in time, true brass won’t rust. Despatched on 1/6/20 Delivery was supposed to be on 4 to the 6/6/20 by Hermes.never happened, got a message saying “running late” we waited and waited and it did not turn up in till 8/6/20 by DHL. in the meantime saw the exact same seat for £ 26 less so decided to return and order the cheaper version.what a waste of time.to save myself the hassle decided to bite the bullet and keep it.could NOT contact seller direct, not very happy. Rant Over.

It is always a difficult buying furniture on line, but this is a good’un.Not too hard to erect on your own but a second pair of hands is useful.Strong, for a flat pack, looks good .We liked the first two, so much, we bought two more !

Great comfortable bench , it was hard to put together and the inner threads kept coming out so held them in with grips . it has a split peace of wood at back but you can not see it , but it is still strong and has not effected the structure of the bench , so its a Good strong quality bench.

As others have found I needed to drill a couple of the holes, easy enough if you have a decent drill. There’s no real joinery in the bench, just cupboard type fastenings but it went together quickly and seems sturdy enough for now. Not sure how long it will last but good enough for the low price.

Was easy enough to assemble on my own. Is nice and comfy, feels reasonably sturdy, and looks nice in my garden.Only slight downside is that being a wood bench secured by screws, it can tend to loosen up a bit and become slightly wobbly. So I keep the allen key that came with it handy for a little tightening occasionally.Little bit pricey as well, seems like the current pandemic, combined with the nice weather we’ve been having, has put a bit of premium on some garden items. But I have to conclude I’m very happy with what I got for the price I paid. It was worth it. It’s a really nice bench.
