I’m a confident DIY’r, worked as an engineer for 6 years and I found this hard work to assemble…The instructions are not great and not everything perfectly aligned… it will require a few modifications I believe not to fall apart at Glastonbury festival next week (I’m going to super glue the threads on wheel as they not nylon, just relying on a split washer, which 1x didnt bite fully, I would still get them if off even if glued if I ever needed to change wheel, the pins on the walls will end up falling out, so I will crush them in flat…might ply line the floor in basket)But now assembled it seems well made, and I’m happy with it overall… if it breaks or falls apart at glasto I will report back

I can confirm this will comfortably transport a newly-36 year old birthday girl. Tackling the assembly with wine is recommended so the hours fly by. Frustratingly, the side clips are so loose that they inadvertently pop out when you’re plodding along, so you either have to retrace your steps for your fallen comrades or tape/bend them in (clips not people) – it’s not like it was over rough ground either (or when transporting human cargo).

Use it for transporting beekeeping equipment have modified it to include a large plastic tray, definitely takes the strain out of moving heavy produce.

I got this for festivals but since having this I use it for shop so to lift heavy stuff that I would not be able to carry all on me on and great for shopping

Found it to be the best one for download festival, with the neumatic tyre’s, good strong material . Other trolleys with firm wheels left allover and broken and that was on the way in . On another note a piece was faulty and the company sent out a whole new trolley for me to pick out a new part vvgood response and quick service 👍👍👍👍

works well for transporting bulk liquids across the yard

Bought this for Glastonbury after digging through a reviews and recommendations for a good festival trolley. This bad boy stood up to it all absolutely made my life a lot easier as long as you out it together properly you’ll have a breeze. 10/10 recommend

Delivered on time but came with 2 flat tyres. Had holes in the inner tubes. Contacted seller for 2 new wheels and told they could not send them as had none in their warehouse. Was told could return for a refund but by then I had already built it from flat pack taking a couple if hours! After many emails was finally told they could send me 2 new wheels, but when they arrived they’d sent me larger wheels from their larger model which didn’t fit. Was then told the only solution was to send me a new cart, for me to take out the 2 wheels I needed, and then return the rest back to them! What a waste of time and money. In the end I suggested if I order the wheels from Amazon could they refund me the cost which they did in the end. A week later and many messages later I finally had a cart I could use.The cart itself is good and as I expected.Would be much better if they supplied puncture proof tyres from the start to avoid such problems in future.

Good solid product but can I make a suggestion SACK YOUR QUALITY CONTROLLER. the wheels do not screw on I’ve had to re thread the pole to get the dam nuts to fit , also please contact the delivery company and get them to deliver you items properly came a day early said they handed it to resident I’m confused as we were 300 mile away it was just dumped could have been stolen

This review is specific to use at a festival so might not be appropriate for other applications. We purchased this cart for IoW festival this year as we had a lot to take and we didn’t fancy the 4 or 5 trips to the car. I am so glad we took this trolley because the Thursdays we arrived the rain was torrential and I would have given up without it!Assembly is fiddly but not overly complicated. As others have said, a socket set will make your life a hundred times easier when assembling the trolley. The beefy tyres had no issue navigating the sludge, mud and bumps. Others with smaller wheels, and things like shopping trolleys were struggling in places but this thing kept going.Weight distribution is very important once the trolley is stacked right up with cans and bags and chairs. Too much weight on the rear axle and it will tip back as you pull but too much at the front and it’ll be way harder to pull. Too much weight on one side and it might tip if you hit a bump at the wrong angle. This didn’t happen to us but we saw it happen to others. The handle is fairly short. I’m about 6’ and it was relatively had work to pull it along fully loaded, still nowhere near the amount of effort needed for the several trips otherwise. The price is expensive compared to alternatives. If you’re lucky and have gorgeous weather and are at the front of the car park then taking this might feel like a waste of money. If you’re like us, however, parked right at the back and trying to move a car boot’s worth of stuff on to (and off of) the campsite in the torrential rain, then you’ll be so glad you got this when you see people struggling with tiny wheels and flimsy carts.Take plenty of bungee cords with you to keep things centred and stable, no matter what trolley you buy. We took 10 and could have done with a couple more.

Used this for a music festival and the trolley fell apart as soon as I got there. Despite tightening the bolts as much as possible, as per the instructions, they still fell out and I lost some due to it being such a massive site.If it wasn’t for some absolute legends who helped me fix this up (as pictured) I wouldn’t have been able to get it home. The frame itself seems decent but is not worth the asking price for the hassle. If anyone wants to take the plunge and purchase this for any reason, I’d suggest investing in some decent bolts and nuts separately
Jon –
I use this for work
Deborah Presley –
This is exactly what I wanted but the build quality leaves a lot to be desired. All the pieces where there. The threads on the axles where appalling so fitting the caps on the wheels was difficult. The instructions don tell you what to do with the steering mechanism.
Jemma Hayes –
check all the threads on the wheel axles before building, the one I had the threads were heavily painted so barely any thread and the nuts would not take, so ended up taking it to a local engineering place to get it re-threaded at a cost of £30. definitely not the usual VonHaus quality, even the logo was blurred on one side so either rushed for the high summer demand or a Chinese fake

I read the reviews about putting it together so I planned ahead, got my 15 yr old son involved, put the kettle on and got several spanners – not adjustable ones (too bulky and a faff) at the ready. the green lining carries a tremendous odour, so that went out on the washing line for a few days straight off. He read the instructions, and put it all together, all I did was hold a spanner one side whilst he tightened with the other a few times and passed the nuts and washers. and voila! so now for the big test – how much can I cram in it so I only have to make one trip from car to campsite at the lets rock Bristol festival which is uphill, grassy and bumpy terrain. well! I can tell you I was thrilled to get it all in in one go with the help of six bungees and although it was heavy the wheels and tyres ran smoothly so off I went. the only issue I have with it is that it could do with a brake on the handle!! kind of wants to run off with you going downhill so you have to make sure you are ready for that if you have put as much stuff in it as I did. also, letting it go first and you holding it back is ok if you are good at reversing trailers or caravans and know about turning the axle the opposite way to where you want it to go – I tried doing this but its pretty responsive and nearly had it going in a circle back on itself in no time lol.so in summary, for fifty quid this trolley was great for festival use, copes with rough terrain, and holds loads. it is now in my shed ready for garden use next.
C. J. Derricott –
The product is quality. It runs freely & is very sturdily built. The system for lowering or removing the sides is simple but brilliant. 5 stars for it, once built. However, assembly is a nightmare. Yes, the intructions are really excellent but the process took me nearly 4 hours. Filling the axle supports to the base is a real pain: there is hardly enough clearance between the mesh & the chassis to fit the bolt & get the nut on it – & getting a wrench into the space is frustrating. Some of the parts do not align properly with the bolt holes. I had to insert a screwdriver shaft into the holes , lever them into place & hold them with a clamp in order to insert the bolts. In short, the difficulty of assembly costs it a star, which is a pity
V icky –
I wish I’d bought one of these years ago – its like having an extra pair of hands. Be sure to tighten up all the bolts thoroughly, and keep an eye on it the first few times to check that no fixing’s have shaken loose, but once set up correctly it is a great product. It can seem ‘shaky’ when constructed, but it’s part of what makes it works – that bit of flexibility makes it more robust and adaptable overall. I’ve used it to move a large amount of wood, thumping down heavy logs and straining the sides, I haul it in and out of the van, use it to support ends of heavy loads that I’m moving around in tight spaces, lug around tools & water. Just love it. I had a minor issue with the rubber suction ends on the handles for the side panels sliding off too easily – a dab of glue fixed them on permanently, and if they do come off again, I’ll just leave them off as they are cosmetic rather than needed. I’ve only had it a month, but it’s already stood up to more than I would consider reasonable, so totally recommend getting one.
Naomi Kay –
The trolley is great, just brought a second one – we use it for helping us transport equipment round Bestival for our stand in their Science Tent and it’s very durable. Some of the nuts and bolts came loose and fell out as we didn’t have the tools to tighten them, but we did drag it several miles over bumpy ground with them missing and it’s still in one piece. Also worth noting, you will need a decent set of spanners to put it together and the instructions are very difficult to understand (persevere though!)The only major problem is they use Yodel as the courier and they are appalling. They continually try and deliver to an office building out of hours when no one is around (despite specifying this was the case). They don’t put a card into the mailbox, but say they have, so you can’t even call anyone to arrange a new delivery time. They also won’t ring you when they arrive to say they’re here, can you come down and let us in so i had no idea there were there to go let them in. Generally they are useless at delivering anything and I don’t know why they’re in business

Mr. C. J. Lewis –
Really handy truck and I wish I’d bought one years ago. I own some land which is only accessible down a rough track with no vehicle access (unless I get a quad and the missus won’t let me get one…….) so I have to carry everything down by hand or in a wheelbarrow. With a wheel barrow you have to support the load as well as lift part of it which makes multiple journeys very tiring and you have to ensure the load it totally balanced. But with this I can load up, not worry too much about making the load even and as the track is slightly down hill I can just leave the weight drive the cart and focus on steering.Positive points- easy to put together, makes carrying awkward loads nice and easy, seems quite tough so far, handle is long enough to ensure you don’t get your feet caught under the wheels (like with some other smaller trucks I’ve tried in the past.)Only negative points are due to the fact that I wish it had a brake of some kind and when empty it is very noisy over rough ground. I’m guessing the addition of a brake would have put the price up quite a bit, especially if they linked the brake to the handle. And the noise can be reduced by simply removing the sides and strapping them down when you are moving it about when empty.
P.T. Myring –
Half decent and affordable item that was let down by the poor quality of the wheel axle threads. Two wheels went on easily, as they should. Two others, however, were very difficult to fit as the axle thread did not match the domed nuts supplied. Managed it in the end with good old brute force and tool fine adjusting (hammer).
Norman –
I should have bought one of these years ago and saved myself a lot of work in my large garden. Not hard to put together for a 70 year old man and took me a couple of hours, definitely easier with a socket which I could not find. It is well constructed, strong and will carry most things in the garden, I have a lot of heavy pots so will have plenty of use for it, handy for bags of compost, bark etc. It travels over quite rough terrain on its four decent tyres and kick myself for not purchasing one sooner. Not bad value for money.
Les Swinburne –
This is a good sturdy trolley and should be an ideal one for hauling your camping equipment round or for festival use (as well as what it is actually designed for,, garden use) The build instructions are not the easiest to get on with as the pictures shown are not of good quality, but if you separate the parts into their own little piles, it all becomes quite clear!! This trolley took me all of 25 minutes to put together, and I found that the easiest way, was to put it all the bolts in hand tight first, then go round it and tighten them all up with the required tools, as there are one or two bolt holes that don’t quite line up and may need a little bit of movement for assembly. However,, tools you will require are not an adjustable spanner and screwdriver,, you will require, 1 x 12mm spanner or socket, 1 x 13mm spanner or socket, 1 x 10mm spanner or socket, 1 x large flat blade screwdriver and 1 x 16mm socket for the wheelnuts. Remember, when you get to the steering section, Do Not, over tighten the bolts to the flat plate, as this will render it unable to steer!!! Tighten in stages, and test it as you go!! That will make life a lot easier!!! Good Luck!!!
P. A. Hancock –
Purchased this after looking at a number of reviews of this one and alternate makes. Unpacked and checked all items, read the instructions twice before commencing. If you cross check the instructions carefully (orientation of front and back) and have the tools (10mm, 12mm & 13mm spanners and sockets / adjustable spanners + flat blade screwdriver) its straightforward to fit together alone – i assembled it on my work bench in the shed and used clamps to hold the front and back struts in place when assembling. I also greased all bolts and and nuts after fitting. I like the fact that front, back and sides are easily removed. Have used it to move large soil containers and several largish potted plants around the garden. Note the weight limit. I also fitted 10mm ply board inside for moving concrete blocks. We are pleased with it for the price.

In the past. I’ve had 5 shopping trolleys and ended up breaking on me, ( the bags burst Or a wheel would come off and the bag couldn’t be repaired or the wheel fixed. So it usually ended up in the dump!Having trolleys still meant I had to struggle moving heavy stuff from ‘ A to B ‘ That wouldn’t be moved by using the trolleys. So after trolley number 6 packing up on me I had had enough… Then I went onto Amazon… searched through and discounted hundreds of trolleys until I found the ‘Von Haus Trolley’ .If you can take just one review as FACT AND 100% GENUINE….Get this trolley.Forget the price and consider if YOU and YOUR BACK is well worth this investment.Consider these facts:NO MORE STRUGGLING WITH HEAVY BAGS( we’ve all done it )NO MORE SORE BACKS.NO MORE BROKEN TROLLEYS.Turn your nightmare shopping into a delight and get this trolley…..ORDER IT THE SECOND YOU FINISH READING MY REVIEW….Oh. Any questions on the assembly Or it’s dimensions or even it’s capability of it ( I didn’t just get it for the shopping) et me know, I’d be delighted to help.

This was abit of a pain to try and assemble, especially if you are like me and didn’t have the correct tools (spanners).. and time consuming too. I used this for a recent music festival I went too. This was like heaven compared to other people’s and watching them drag their broken/wheel- less trollies through ankle/knee high – water & mud, I could feel the jealousy haha.. Only down side it didn’t have breaks, so not great up & down those hills, but on the whole it worked a treat , carried quite alot too ( which is a bonus!!!!, beer in one hand – pulling this trolley with the other 😀 defo recommend for festivals.

Fiddly parts and doesnt feel like quality but maybe expected for pricepoint. Hopefully does the job and lasts
Tony Carter –
The cart l received was not fit for purpose,it was poorly finished and badly engineered. two of the wheels couldn’t be secured to the axle because the thread had not been cut, two hinges were out of line making the sides hard to fit, it should never have passed quality control. I should have returned it to seller but I decided to re engender it l had to spend an extra £22 on a tap & die set to cut new threads on axle’s and make good other mistakes and at 79 with poor dexterity that was no mean feat still at least it works ok and tow’s well behind my mobility scooter. My go to festival trolley for DOWNLOAD this year. Very simple to put together, very good instructions. Only complaint being the bolts that hold the wheel hubs together. The Stock M8 bolts need swapping out top nylock ones or they get loose very quickly if you do not keep the tires exactly on their required preassure. The Warrenty is very ambiguously worded, being you have to send EVERYTHING back in its orrigional packaging… but I voided that the moment I unpacked it. Glad nothing was bent/broken.Very good starting platform for serious campers with heavy gear, Would strongly reccomend this style over anything else available elsewhere~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~If you are interested heres how I heavily modified mine to cope with the riggours of festival life:Nylock M8 wheel bolts, Nylock M16 Hub bolts, Spacers front and rear to combat wheel-slop, extra reinforcement for internal load bed, extra reinforcement for rear and front plating, mudguards/ tire scrapers for getting rid of excess mud/ detritus, a baja plate from mid chassis to rear axle, and a quick release/ extension for the handle bars, and a “cup holder” for up front
Andy Piekarski –
Seems quite sturdy in use and large wheels have proved ideal in the garden. Assembly not difficult but access to most bolts is very restricted. Adjustable wrench did not work and had to use ring spanners instead. Also the nuts for the bolts didn’t quite fit the sockets in two different sockets sets so although described as M8 they are slightly oversize. Got there in the end with the next size up sockets though a loose fit. Instructions fairly easy to follow though a little intuitive at times, e.g. no instruction not to tighten down tight on the steering pivot bolts (otherwise it will not steer). But overall a good buy.
Damian Smith –
I never write reviews, but this definitely deserves one. I bought this this year for Glastonbury and boy did it take every bit of hassle out of lugging my stuff. I had used industrial hand trolleys at festivals before and, even compared to them, this was incredibly easy. In fact, my intention was to buy a caravan because I hated all the carrying of stuff to the campsite, and this has eliminated that problem and the need for a caravan. And now today I have used it for lugging 3 tons of topsoil, that was delivered to my front garden, to my back garden. This eliminated the vast amount of work needed, especially unloading – where I just let down one side and tip the cart over. The cart is so sturdy and I am extremely pleased with it.One tip though that I picked up from another review when buying: replace the nuts supplied with nylock nuts. This will prevent the wheel becoming loose, falling off, or buckling. I know this because that’s what happened to a hand trolley I had before.
C. Phillips –
Bought this for use at a festival. All went ok with the assembly (instructions were fine) but the steering mechanism hole didn’t line up with the main axle hole. We had to improvise and use a different nut/bolt to fix.The wheel threads were not good so the wheel nuts would not tighten up, again we had to repair and use a different wheel nut.We used for 2 days and then on 3rd day we lost one of the side clamps as it had worked it’s way loose, again we improvised with a tent peg.It did last the weekend and we’d have been screwed without it but did expect a better quality for the price. With our new fixings it should last another couple of weekends at least.
Shark Tank –
Survived download festival…4 stars only because the handle should be a little longer for taller people – though could be easily modified.Big, strong, rubber wheels which glide and survive gravel and stone surfaces (anyone that’s used cheap poundland/ b&m trollies will understand) they’re not about to wear down and fall off. Mud and grass ppfftt easy. The sides are detachable and/or fold down for carrying bigger items. Also comes with a fabric insert for anyone wanting to carry small items or garden use.I have seen both a bigger and a smaller size. (Exactly the same make and design) for bigger or solo parties.Hope this helps.
Andy42 –
This was given as a gift, so my review is limited. On the plus side, the trolley seemed to be robust. The minus side is the smell – an appalling chemical odour that seemed to come from the painted surfaces. I’ve never before had a problem with the smell of any purchase and I doubt that it will last, I just suggest that it is unwrapped and assembled outside. There were no metal shavings in the box and it was constructed in less than an hour. The comment from the assembler (not me) was that it needed additional washers in the steering mechanism.
Oliver –
Strong. Sturdy. It coped well with very bumpy wet path at a festival. The sides can be dropped which is really practical. Very useful especially for festivals.Little complicated to put together (needs various sizes of spanners, socket sets and screw drivers) but perfectly manageable and I am not practical at all (and did it on my own when the instructions suggest it takes 2)The reason for the drop of a star is the handle is a little short if you’re over 6 foot. And adjustable handle would be great.
SurreyAlan –
Yes the instructions did need careful reading and you really do need a socket set and some good spanners as well as a pump to pump up the tyres but after using this for 6 months must say it’s been really really useful. First used for work when we moved office and lots of computers had to be shifted, heavy sacks of paper for shredding easily moved. At home used in the garden and also for moving logs from road to store as well as bags of sand. Much easier than a wheelbarrow as you don’t have to lift the weight with handles and it doesn’t overbalance either. No complaints about the quality seems pretty sturdy to me, still looks like new, the wheels may have smelt once but it lives in the garage not the bedroom. I really would recommend this product.
Dr B –
Arrived on time and took about 20 – 30 minutes to assemble using the easy to follow instructions. Spanners or adjustable wrench required for assembly. The trolley is extremely well built, and is easy to guide around with the pulley handle. It looks very smart just like the advertised picture and is extremely stable. All 4 sides can be lowered or removed independently leaving the others in place. The wheels are very chunky with good tread and can easily handle grass, gravel and muddy tracks with moderate bumps and potholes. The trolley can easily hold an 8 man tent with lots of other camping kit stacked up on top. Great for logs and bags of cement or sand etc too.
Mr white –
Not made the best had to bend some parts to work but it does the job will be perfect when I take kids to festival

Bought this to take to Glastonbury, and it was absolutely great – put it together, pump up the tyres and off you go. Loaded it right up, took it over some pretty rough terrain and it never let us down. Easy to strip down to get into the car too. Only tow negatives were 1) it was delivered by Yodel and the box looked like it had been thrown off a cliff – however, in testament to the product, it was undamaged, and 2), there are no washers in the steering assembly, so was initially a bit lumpy – I got a couple of PTFE washers and put them between the two parts of the steering and it is much better. Looking forward to using it again next year!Instructions were good and delivery was quick – there is a liner provided for the wagon too, and all four sides fold down.
John B –
Its stronger than my last Trolley, I have to walk with a stick so I cant use a wheelbarrow. I use it for carrying logs and all sorts of jobs, the V cut out in the front I have moved to the back so if I am carrying long things they can poke out the back, the handel stays up as it has a square box type weight that keeps it back.
Peter Bailey –
Fast delivery, quite easy to assemble but a variety of spanners required to properly tighten nuts and bolts due to their positioning. This is the third similar trolley to be used in a stable block and is a very practical design. The paint finish is OK but is not likely to be as weather proof as we would like. The sides are a very loose and sloppy fit, ‘poor engineering’,Overall a reasonably practical product and expected quality for the price.
STEPHEN GRIFFITHS –
Very good quality garden trolley. Whilst my initial order had some missing hardware to enable assembly, the seller quickly resolved this by exchanging the item. Having now built up the trolley, please expect about an hour or so to assemble it. All the components were of good quality and fitted together well, with very clear instructions. The assembled item was high quality and robust, ready to take on most gardening tasks. All you need for easy assembly is an adjustable spanner, socket set, screwdriver and foot pump for the tyres. After assembly, suggest a light coat of spray oil on the fittings to avoid any corrosion. Overall, delighted with the product and the customer service from the seller.
David Jones –
Easy enough to assemble but there is no way it will carry what is declared. The biggest problem is the tyres which are obviously very old as all four are perished. As all four were flat I put air into them and the cracks just opened up and the tube appeared through the cracks, so if you buy this cart be prepared to purchase another set of tyres or in my case 4 tyres and 2 tubes. save your money and buy something a bit better and sturdier.

I’m very pleased with this trolley for the price I paid and delivery was quite fast.It was easy to build with just spanners and the instructions clear. I intend to use it for plant pots, beehives and general domestic hauling. The steering lock angle is very sharp so it can turn almost on the spot. I don’t think it would strong enough for industrial use but very suitable for hobbies, camping, etc.I like the way the end of the handle can be taken off to reveal a hole which I guess could be used to hook onto a quad or lawn tractor, or maybe hook lots of them together like a train. It rattles over bumps if that matters. All told, I’m well impressed.
David smith –
Love it and its brilliant, but have adapted it so sides can be held in a horizontal position for carrying wider stuff across a muddy field.Provides a wider platform for my hay and keeps sides out of mud
Pentest_UK –
Using just my normal socket set and a spanner to counter hold them, the bolts are very easy to strip the threads. This is because they are soft aluminium bolts. I changed them for steel ones and all is good. Otherwise the thing is just fine. Sorry to not be able to leave a higher review, but the cheap bolts mean that this is not as good as it could be. Put the price up by £10 and use the extra cost to package better hardware.
Mr. Raymond Foulkes –
Does what it says on the box. Arrived very quickly, without damage. It was relatively easy to assemble (although the diagrams are not totally exact), all the parts were present. Just loaded it with some goods and trundled around the garden. The steering works well and the large tyres make it easy to pull around. The truck itself is not too heavy i.e. it does not add a large load to what you are tugging. The instructions say to use an adjustable spanner, but that might be a bit tricky to get in to where some nuts are located. I used 3 open spanners including 12 and 13mm and a large screwdriver.
hugh neary –
It’s a few months in use. There is a lot of rust on the perforated steel which I have sprayed from time to time with WD40.I had one inner tube puncture, in common with those cheap sack trucks, the wheels and their tyres and tubes are poor quality and apt to develop cracks and splits in the “rubber”.I have now had the thing for a little over a year. Punctures are never ending. The tubes are useless, none repairable and replacements from various sources are all alike. The rust is terrible. Hammerite and cold galv seems to help, but it’s an ongoing job.A useful little trolley, but not very good quality really. I think that for the price, I would want a better quality of steel. This thing rusts faster than my Morris Marina used to.

Brilliant. Easy to put together. I did it by myself in about half an hour. It was slightly fiddly at times and I had to work out one or two of the instructions, but I’m gob-smacked by anyone who downgrades it on the basis that “you need two people to put it together” and/or “the instructions aren’t clear” and/or “the parts are badly engineered” etc etc. I’ve got to say I find this totally weird and perplexing!!In use it moves nicely, the sides are easy to fit and take off and to drop/put in place as needed, and I find the whole thing sturdy and efficient.Strongly recommended!
