Was a bit sceptical sinxe I sometimes find it hard to find a chair that doesn’t give me back pain, and took a risk and I’m glad I did! Its very comfy and I love the color and would gladly buy another one but hopefully won’t need to.
sylvia hughes –
Very strong comfortable padded office chair.
Terry –
Chair arrived well packaged and was easy to put together, only took me a short while. Now the reality………the chair provides decent support but is very hard (well to me it is). There is not a lot of give in either the back or seat cushions, I’m already resorting to a manual cushion for the seat! Back is shoulder height to base of neck (i’m 5’11) which is fine but it will not support your head unless you under 5’8 I reckon! Lumber element is ok, but again will depend on your height and is NOT adjustable.Overall I’ve given 3 stars because of the hard cushioning and suspect it will not last long with me, you get what you pay for!
Marlow Meldrew –
Within a couple of weeks I noticed that the foam on the left arm rest had deformed. I complained and they settled with a refund rather than replacing it. I was reasonably happy since the deformity fits my arm. Not good though, but it’s the only bit that has failed so far. Would have preferred something better, but they are all ‘faux leather’ – rubberised material in other words, NOT leather and the are awful in later years when the rubber peels off. So it’s OK, but I wonder how long it will last for.

Delivery – 2 days, pleasantly surprisedDesign – similar – if not the same – as the old Argos fabric managers chair they no longer do and replaced my snapped 9 year old one.Only difference is the padded arm rests and being grey over black. A nice change after nearly a decade.Very important – fabric chairs don’t crack under your knees like the fake leather ones do, although you can’t wipe the material clean.Expect to replace a cheap ‘leather’ one around 4-5 years if the discomfort on the back of your knees bothers you. This – as long as it lasts and put a seat cushion on it when the foam goes.Assembly – can be fiddly and took me 35 minutes knowing what I was doing but 9 years later. Bolts can be difficult to get into the holes but they fit and laying it down to where you want to work makes it much easier than standing up.Try to use a drill/ratchet screwdriver, an alun key will make it more work and take longer.Comfort – Firm to very firm and a surprise. But that is me having sat on foam that was long past end of life. There is a shoulder and lumber support, I can’t remember if my old one had that and if it did a long time ago. I would expect it to soften in use until it isn’t there.Height – I am 6 foot 2 and it adjusts to not only allow me to sit comfortably but also get close to the keyboard shelf. Why anyone is saying it doesn’t fit them is beyond me.Overall – what I tried to get from Argos but they don’t do any more and also cheaper.I tried to persevere with a dining room chair it doesn’t compare.I would highly recommend it and hope it lasts me another 10 years, but either the hydraulic adjustor goes, the metal chair base snaps or something happens to the wheels.Just be aware of the price point you are buying at, it is an economy home office chair not a premium business office chair with the obvious £x00 difference in price.

I searched dozens of options before deciding on this chair, I need lumbar support and as I often spend hours sitting in the chair wanted one that would be comfortable, this isn’t the chair for comfort. Not bad for short periods but I wouldn’t recommend it for all day long. Wasn’t too hard to put together but it would be better done by 2 people. It’s very disappointing. Also when sitting in last chair I could easily reach the lever to change height, the one on this chair is awkward to reach when sitting down. My recommendation is to keep looking!!! Doesn’t roll well on carpet either.
Iain Mees –
Really nice looking chair, comfortable and appears to be quite hard wearing although does creak a little if you shuffle position.Downside is there are a few areas that are plastic. I was expecting the feet to be completely metal but they are not. They do feel very surdy though. The plastic side panels are just cheap and nasty and I have dropped a star based on these alone. One was quite badly damaged which although it is noticable, it is on a side that is close to a wall so not on display. The covering is actually really nice and quite firm. If it wasn’t for this, then I would probably have looked at returning the item. The chair is what I would class as ‘what I paid for’. Not a bargain, not incredible quality, but usable and on par with the price. Hoping it lasts a few years, but not expecting much beyond that. If you want the perfect chair with this level of comfort then you will need to look at a lot higher price range. Currently pleased with the purchase.
Mr Happy –
The Chair is a nightmare to assemble – well the one I purchased was hard to assemble, be warned all the screw points had shards of swarf inside them which I had to clean out!, pretty bad for the money I paid for this chair! After that non of the chair’s arm joints line up very easily. Will take two people holding it together over an hour to assemble.Once assembled the chair is comfortable, can’t say about durability, most office chairs of this type last around a year before something goes wrong with them.

Had an issue only with the delivery which was with Yodel. Got the chair in the end, received full support from MHSTAR regarding this and amazon also. Chair fits perfectly along with a new desk also purchased recently through amazon. Great lower back support which is perfect and helps with working from home. Comfortable all around, good arm rest support which ties in nicely. Assembled together fairly quickly, not complicated and has decent height adjustment. Giving 4 stars as its pretty much a solid buy, 5 stars would have been given if it had an adjustable head support, I knew it did not have an independent head support when I purchased as I never use one anyway. Really pleased overall.
N. Mannion –
Unfortunately the product was 1 long screw short which could have hampered things.Fortunately the chair was to replace a 3 year old office chair of similar construction and I was able to re-use a screw from that one (luckily a universal size).Chair is fine and decent quality for the price. But please, how difficult can it be to ensure there are enough screws by perhaps putting 1 or 2 spares in?
Mags L B. –
Difficult to review as it was not what I wanted. I wanted a soft padded adjustable chair and had looked at so many of them. When this blue one came up I thought it was the same chair only in blue. It is solid with only basic adjustments but the quality is there, it looks good. I sit on it for hours without reaching for a cushion so it’s is ok. Probably designed to support a heavy man not a lady but support it does. No more backache problems. Thank you.
C. J. Haworth –
For a Black Friday purchase this is a very good office chair. It is comfortable to sit in for a long period of time and the fabric is a good hard wearing quality. The only niggle was the instructions which didn’t show clearly which way the seat fastened to the frame. I got it wrong first time. Not a big problem but annoying.Overall very good value.
Natalia P –
The chair was easy to put together and is very comfortable. After a few weeks of using it instead of my old chair, my back issues got much better. I am 174cm tall and the head rest part of the backrest is too low for me by at least 5cm, which is a real shame but I just had to accept it. Also, if you’re in a very small space, bear in mind that the chair is quite large and not your lightweight option, but it feels sturdy.
Hazal –
It is a nice chair for the value. After couple of months it started to make noise.
David –
This chair is ok, pretty good value and comfortable. Ask me again in six months when it has had some wear.
mark –
the arm rests have some cheap thin filling in them that are flattened after a few weeks only – leaving dents in the arm rests – making them very uncomfortablevery awkward to put together when first doing thisseat itself isn’t bad but let down by the arm rests – cheapest filling available i would think – and just doesn’t wear properly – arm rests flattened and dented and uncomfortable in a matter of a few weeks
Roland Worth –
Cushioning for the arm rest may wear away sooner than expected, but overall the chair is not a bad purchase.

Vinsetto Linen Padded Ergonomic Office Chair w/Swivel ‘Adjustable’ Seat High Back Armrests Headrest Stylish Work Seat Rocking Grey (New)Easy to assemble, looks good, not too corporate office looking (it’s used in our home), comfy, good back lumber (but not adjustable). ‘Adjustable’ only means seat height raises up and down. The chair does not recline (rocking means tips forwards). If you want an upright, high backed, arm chair feel then this is for you. My 6ft son uses it for his ‘gaming/work/study station’ and he really likes it. Good price for style, size, fabric as long as you don’t want to push back (recline) to think and ponder on life!

When the chair was delivered, flat packed, I noticed two bulging screw holes in the back. These prevented assembly of the chair and I was supplied with a replacement. Despite very basic instructions, the replacement assembled relatively easily until attaching the seat to the back. The fit is very tight and the connecting bolts quite short. Assembly really needed four hands, a torch to assist in lining up the screws with their holes and some brute strength to push the parts into alignment. Once assembled the chair is quite hard, not necessarily a bad thing, and does not tip back very easily. The quality is good and it is smart looking but assembly lets it down a little.
JB –
Really fabulous chair. Super comfy, nice deep seat. Great lumber support. Perfect seat height. Looks really stylish.Well made, easy to assemble, for a mid price range chair amazing value, highly recommend
Kevin S –
Good value for money. My chair was delivered with a minor fault but the vendor was very quick and easy to deal with and resolve the issue. I would definitely use this vendor again.
Ben –
A very comfortable chair with good support.I opted for fabric as a previous faux leather office chair i had the material cracked and fell apart which looked horrendous. The chair was well packaged. The fabric is very smooth and softThe padding in the seat is very good. The chair was extremely simple to put together. My only minor apprehension is the quality of the padding within the arm rests, it just feels a little delicate, that being said, 3 months of daily use has not had any impact, and the chair is holding up very well.Would certainly recommend and i think it deserves 5 stars.
Kindle Customer –
Had this chair for just over 8 months and the plastic base has cracked. Only has a 6 month warranty so not covered for replacement or refund. Total waste of money
Taff_Hayward –
The seat and armrests are really comfortable for the first few days, but then the foam starts to collapse and get hard and does not retain its original shape. I have had to buy new upholstery foam rubber and rebuild the chair after just a week of use, albeit very heavy use, ( 10 hours a day ).The other problem is that the chair groans on the spindle as you tilt it. However, for the price it is still not a bad chair, and solidly built.
Sue –
pleased with the look of this chair, love the colour and good back support. Quite easy to assemble but does need 2 people.
Amazon Customer –
The headrest is huge and very uncomfortable, the backrest is not adjustable, the chair is designed for people at a particular hight, I’m a bit taller and this huge headrest is at the level of my shoulders. Also the chair is massive and not suitable for small spaces (i.e. UK home offices :-)). The seat seems to be OK, I can seat on it a whole day, arm rest are fine, assembly is a bit difficult, not many parts but the backrest is fixed to the sit with the arm rests and is a bit tricky for a single person to assemble. The price (£78 at the time of the review) is fair for the quality. Lack of colour variety is disadvantage.
A Henderson –
Stylish chair, comfortable and gives good support to back and shoulders. Straight forward to assemble and good value for money
Mr Terence E Smissen –
This is a really good chair and easy to assemble but the arm rest has a problem. The inner padding/foam is stuck to the arm with Inassume double side tape but it does not have the strength to hold it together. I am able to move it back in place but it moves as soon as you put your arm on it.
Rhys –
Very comfortable chair, nice and cosy material. Ideal
Miss Dong –
This chair is suitable for me who is 169cm (~5’6.5), it can provide comfortable support for my neck and waist. The only thing I wasn’t very happy about was that I needed two people to put this chair together.I haven’t used it for a long time, but if it is not comfortable, I will add it to my review.
Mrs Deborah Hikin –
Wanted someth8ng that blended in with the decor. This is perfect and is really comfortable
T Daniels –
Arrived really quickly. Easy to assemble but an extra pair of hands is required to help line up the screw holes.Very comfortableNice deep wide seatThe cat loves it too!
Trevor L. Courtman –
A comfortable chair with plenty of seating space. But, it’s quite noisy, needs a drop of grease now and then
Kindle Customer –
Chair looks comfortable but it is not. Arrived, and began assembling. If you don’t support the back of seat it falls against your hand. Once built, it is uncomfortable with little support on seat or back, and back is for small people as headrest sits above/at neck (I am 5’9.5). Disassembled and again back trapped thumb and finger when taking out bolts. Cannot be disassembled properly and costs £22 to send back in extended box via parcelforce as cheapest. MH Star do not refund carriage (likely to discourage returns). Took several weeks to get refunded and chased through Amazon again. So paid for 1/3 of a seat and have no seat. Life, goes on.
A Family –
Very nice chair which is extremely comfortable and a lovely blue colour. Ideal for either the office or home and hopefully will be long lasting. Assembly was difficult as some of the holes for the bolts were out of alignment. This is a manufacturing problem which seems to have bypassed the quality control. Other than that, I am very pleased with my purchase.
Mr. Chiswick –
I’m 181cm (~5′ 11″) tall and the backrest and the headrest are way too low for me to sit comfortably. Also chair legs are made from cheap plastic, and not from steel metal as advertised.Wheels are made from plastic as well and you will need to buy chair mat or rubber wheels separately to protect your floor.
Mr. Colin R. Draper –
I use this in my study for computing and game playing. The chair is reasonably comfortable but it creaks and groans evry time I move which is a bit annoying.
J –
Very easy to assemble but not the most comfortable and it’s quite upright. Suitable chair however and it’s definitely an upgrade on my last chair
redmire –
great chair
Paul –
Apart from the creaking base when you lean side to side, this is a great value for money chair and it’s comfortable.
Dave Hiddleston –
The chair ergonomically leaves a lot to be desired as a Computer Chair
Paula Brittain –
Lovely chair and very comfy, assembly was a bit tricky and took a while to get parts together, definitely needs 2 people!
mrs j e davison –
The chair looked great initially, although it was tricky to assemble. Within a short time the screws holding the back rest to the arm rest kept falling out. We repeatedly screwed them back in but eventually the thread on the screws wore away completely as the metal was too soft. I persevered with it which hasn’t worked in my favour as the 6 month guarantee period has now expired and I’ve been advised I’m not entitled to a refund or replacement. Buyer beware!
Geoff Wardill –
Liked the colour and designBut the chair cracks every time I move in itRetightened all the bolts but it still gives out sharp cracks when I move back in the seatNot impressed at allWould not recommend this to anyone
philg –
Easy to put together but creaks and groans when you move. Tried tightening things up but still noisy. Cushioning also lost a lot of its original comfort.
Kindle Customer –
It’s a comfortable chair. The arms were a struggle to put on and it took two of us to do that as the screws seemed too small.
Christine Ashdown –
Bought for my husband he is very pleased with it
JeffT –
Although I haven’t tried the chair yet I have only given 1 stardue to having spent over an hour trying to assemble the arms to the back and seat, which is a nightmare, without success. The manufacterer needs to address this apparently common and very difficult issue. I haven’t been able to assess the support and comfort as it is not yet assembled.
Irene –
I use it for working from home.
Lilchickjem –
Easy to assemble, comfortable & quality fabric
