This product is really solid and, especially for the price, you really get great value for your money! I bought this chair back in 2021 and it is in the same condition as it was back then 2 years on so, that’s really saying something! If you are someone who is always at the computer and is looking for comfort, this chair is a great choice as, in my experience for work, gaming, and studies, this chair stays super comfortable for the most part with only one little exception that could make the product THAT much better…I am of course talking about the lack of control that you get with the backrest of the seat, which is mildly frustrating as this simple adjustment could really help to be more inclusive to consumers as it allows for more control for better posture which, the product as it stands currently, lacks. I hope that they look into including something like this for their future products in this price band as it would be a real game-changer I feel!As well as this, the chair is decently easy to assemble, with clear instructions on how to do so but, I can understand where some consumers may struggle to assemble the product as I did find it a little challenging when trying to do multiple things at once but it isn’t too hard once you get the fixings provided to sit into their slots. I should also mention that you don’t need any tools for this as the product comes with an Allenkey which is all you should need! All in all, this product is highly recommended for someone that wants significantly higher quality than a standard cheap office chair but doesn’t want to go all out on a top of the range model!

Bought the same chair before, everything is good. Particular the support of back is wonderful.Just bought a new one recently, found that the design is changed and the base (legs) required assemble. This is almost impossible to fit by hand no matter how hard it tried. Finally I need a hammer to hit hard to fix in the legs.
Karen –
You need to be strong to get the legs into the base, I couldn’t manage it myself. The arms were quite fiddly to get in the correct position, and the tilt/heigh mechanism got in the way when tightening one of the bolts. But apart from the legs/base I was able to assemble myself. It’s very comfortable and so far doesn’t squeak as some people have said, but I’ve only had it up a few days. I am disappointed that the tilt mechanism doesn’t work – I can manage maybe 1cm (if that) but no more. But overall I’m happy with my purchase.
Mr. P. S. Banner –
If you are looking for a high quality chair that looks and feels like it is made of premium components then I would suggest that this is not the chair for you. That is not to say that there is anything wrong with this chair, it is absolutely fine. Just know what you are buying. We needed a chair with flip up arms so that it would be able to be pushed right up to the desk. I spent a lot of time looking at all the different options on Amazon and in the end I decided to go for one of the cheaper options as I could not see a significant difference between this and the more expensive ones other than lumbar support. This chair has no adjustable lumbar support but the back of the chair is shaped in such a way that I find it supportive and comfortable anyway. The arms flip out of the way as expected and they are padded , which quite a few other chairs in the same price band are not.The padded seat itself is nothing special but it appears to be comfortable for now. How long it stays that way remains to be seen but I’m hopeful it will be fine for a good while yet.The look of the chair is fine but the back looks cheap due to the amount of plastic used. It’s not awful by any means but it does look and feel cheap. It’s the sort of chair I would expect to see in a conference room in a low budget hotel, and there is nothing wrong with that.To sit in, it is quite pleasant actually. It won’t blow you away but it will do the job.One plus point for me is how incredibly smooth the castors are on this. I don’t know if our old chair had seized up a bit but as soon as I sat on this I felt like I was gliding on ice. It’s buttery smooth. It’s also worth noting that this chair’s lowest position is slightly higher than my previous chair but we took this as a plus point as our old chair seemed to go far too low to be useful. This seems to bottom out at a reasonable height and still fits under the desk.If you are looking for a cheap(ish), practical, no-frills desk chair with flip up arms then this is a sound purchase. If you are looking for something that looks a bit classy or a step above the norm, then I would keep looking.
Amazon Customer –
I bought it during lockdown for my home office. It is certainly not the most ergonomic chair. But it is comfortable enough. Now I still use it a few days a week.
LL –
Much more comfortable than my old desk chair. I am a novice at assembly, but the instructions were easy to follow. Note though, needs a bit of angling to get the foot supports into the spoke, but easy with the knack. Also when it says don’t tighten screws till ALL screws in place, it really means it- I had to undo some on the seat to get the arms to fit on the back. The arms can go right back, so currently not using. My previous chair was leather and I hadn’t taken into account how easy it is to brush children’s biscuit crumbs off leather though……
Carlos –
After using this chair for six months, I wanted to share my thoughts, just to give potential buyers a heads-up.Before I dive in, I should mention that I used to have a Herman Miller Aeron before moving. I knew I couldn’t expect the same quality with my limited budget, but I hoped for a decent chair. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to my expectations.First, the good: the chair’s build is alright for the price, though it’s a bit wobbly. But there are some issues that make it hard for me to recommend this chair. The adjustment systems are really slow – like, it takes a whole minute just to tweak the reclining resistance. That’s a bit annoying. The main problem, though, is the random loud cracking noise the chair makes. I’ve tried to figure out what’s causing it and how to fix it, but no luck so far. The noise is super distracting, especially when I’m focused on work. I bet my neighbors can hear it too.So, I wouldn’t really recommend this chair. If you’re in the market for an affordable office chair, it’s probably best to keep looking for other options.

I also have the other popular COMHOMA chair (URL below) so I shall compare them; it will be referenced (C2) in the text.https://www.amazon.co.uk/COMHOMA-Ergonomic-Flip-up-Armrest-Support/dp/B08BHT6PTZ/ref=pd_rhf_sc_p_img_13?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=CAYY5D4QTG33QBX9V460What I like about this chair (C1) is:1. it’s lightweight and easily moved over all surfaces (as is C2).2. the seat is quite comfortable though a little wider, thicker and more firm than (C2) which has a softer seat.3. the padded armrests fold back out of the way (as do C2).Observations about both chairs:4. they are very easy to assemble.5. the chairs use the same base and the same gas lift piston.6. the chairs are supplied with spare bolts & washers.7. there’s no lumbar support on either chair and that suits me.8. (C2) appears marginally more robust than (C1) due to the arrangement of the seat-to-back connection. What I dislike about chair (C1) is:9. the armrests have an unnecessary gap between the lower support and the upper padded section enticing exploration by little fingers that could get caught, which is bad enough, but made worse by the sharp edges of the unfinished moulding hiding inside. These are easily filed down but please make sure you do before the inquisitive children arrive eager to use you PC..What I dislike about both chairs is:10. they use only an 8″ gas lift piston that gives only about 4″ of height increase that’s too low for my 6′ frame especially when when the PC screen is on a raised platform on the desk. So I replaced both pistons from BiMi.It’s a pity that COMHOMA don’t offer a piston length selection especially as the difference is only a few pounds, but I was aware of the likelihood of this and the chairs are still good value overall. Besides I have renewed an otherwise constantly sinking old chair with one of the now spare pistons. So which chair do I prefer? I really cannot choose, both are comfortable enough for long term use; I can only hope my comments help someone.

Pros -Modern designEasy to assembleGreat customer serviceCons-Poor lumbar support-Lift mechanism failed after 2 years (this was replaced easily, for free, so i’m hesitant to add this as a con)- Chair creaks an awful lot.- Not great if you move a lot and need to dissemble the chair multiple times, as the screws lose the hex pattern in them and as a result it becomes increasingly more difficult to screw back in / unscrew.I would recommend this chair for anything other than long-term extended periods of use. Do your back a favor and get something with lumbar support that forces good posture – your back will thank you. Other than that, a very decent chair.

I’ve bought two of these chairs which have been used for over a year each at this stage.Overall I’m happy with the purchase and would recommend while highlighting the following issues.- As others have noted the chair height may be an issue for the very tall.- The fabric is fairly coarse, but seems hard wearing.- Lastly and this is the biggest issue, the mesh on the back has been punctured on both chairs by the back frame. But not enough to render the chairs unusable, but something to be aware of.That said I’m overall still happy with the purchases considering the price.
KT – HA4 –
Bought this chair ~18 months ago. It was easy to assemble and comfort has been adequate. However, around 12 months after purchase, the hydraulic mechanism has become faulty and the chair often lowers down by itself when it is sat on. It’s comfortable enough to sit on in its lowest setting, but too low for my desk. I’m now considering a replacement but wouldn’t buy this again.
Colin Main –
I like the fact that the arms fold up – an essential feature for ergonomic seating.I bought this as an office chair for working from home and after 2 years it is coming to the end of its life. The back is wearing through, the seat is now too soft and the whole thing wobbles on its base (and I’ve checked for loose screws – there’s nothing obvious). So sadly, a two-year life span is about it and it’s now about to be replaced.
Kaishen –
The back of the chair just snapped off…nearly injured myself, It lasted little over a year. the mesh split and kept tearing, then this happened, the solid plastic just snapped. DO NOT BUY!!
Mr. C. Bell –
The chair does not hold at the height you set it. Once you feel the first fart of air out of it, you then get regular drops till you’re a foot lower and people are wondering where you disappeared from the video call. Its comfortable. Its arms are ideal that they can move independently up and down fully. But the fact that the chair doesn’t hold its height? Unforgivable, and I’ve tried putting ‘up’ with it, and ran out of patience now. ££££

Worst piece of furniture I’ve ever assembled. The base and legs came separately which were a nightmare. Had to apply oil and hammer the legs in. The back also horrible to attach to the arms. 2 person job and very difficult even for a guy. Haven’t used it yet so hopefully it’s worth it

I purchased this office chair from a well-known brand, and I must say it has been an absolute nightmare. I expected the chair to last at least a couple of years, but it broke down within less than two years of purchase, leaving me feeling thoroughly frustrated and regretful of my decision. The most glaring issue with this office chair is its abysmal quality of materials. From the moment I unpacked it, I could tell that the chair was constructed with cheap, flimsy materials. The seat cushion started losing its firmness after just a few months of use, and the armrests began to wobble precariously. The backrest, which is supposed to provide ergonomic support, started sagging and showed signs of wear and tear far too soon. It’s disheartening to see such poor craftsmanship in a product that should be reliable and durable.Adding insult to injury, the chair was advertised to come with a two-year free parts warranty. However, attempting to contact the company for a replacement or repair has proven to be an impossible task. Despite my numerous attempts to reach out to them through Amazon, I have been met with silence. There is no customer support email or phone number provided, leaving me without any recourse for resolving the issue with the broken chair.Purchasing an office chair is a significant investment, and I expected better from this particular brand. It is disappointing to see a product that falls so short in terms of quality, and even more so when the company fails to fulfill its warranty promises. It feels like a complete disregard for customer satisfaction and reflects poorly on the brand’s reputation.I strongly advise against purchasing this office chair if you value your money and expect a product that will last. The poor quality of materials and the lack of customer support make it a regrettable purchase. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment and look elsewhere for a reliable, long-lasting office chair from a company that stands by its products and provides excellent customer service.

Budget chair… after about 18 months, the chair does stay at the required height. Sitting in it, it gradually deflates and goes down so you are constantly using the height adjuster to re-adjust to required height. Also, after about 1 week, the seat fabric was wrinkled and looked creased. i wish i had spent a bit more on a better quality one…
Sarah Lowe –
Good value for money. Easy to put together for me. Some parts a little fiddly but instructions were easy to follow. Still going strong. Was bought part way through Covid for home working. Little creaky now but still solid. Love that the handles can be moved up and down. Not sure it would work for w4/gaming or a heavy weight.
Kirsty H –
Had this for a couple of weeks now and it’s pretty perfect. I got the grey as I’ve turned my dressing room into an office space so doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb too much. So my views…- Not bad looking- Good back support- Comfy cushion so far (although don’t think it’ll be comfy in summer on bare legs due to the material but I’ll just sit on a old tshirt or blanket)- Cushioning on the arms but same material as the seat, not the comfiest on bare skin- Arms are a little low I think but as they tilt upwards I leave on an angle for a slightly higher support- Wheels not the greatest on laminate but it’ll do- Adjustable seat height is fine and tilting/rocking back ( I don’t use it but seems to work fine)- Easy to put together (other half did it in less than 15 mins but make sure you listen to other reviews and don’t tighten the arms before putting the back on)- Not sure how long the chair will last but for the price if I get a year out of it I’ll be happyI put 4 for everything as it isn’t perfect or the best chair you can get but for the price it is definitely worth it. No issues with speaking, tilting forward, rips or anything like some other comments…maybe I was just lucky.

Lovely chair with soft base and spacious. Fabric is good but it was a bit difficult to attach the back and the base. The arm rest is slightly lower than where it should be for it to be comfortable. Having to keep the arm rest slight up and it’s a shame the back does bend a bit.The base of the chair does tilt forward which is a bit odd considering most chairs should tilt backwards.Overall a nice chair but long term I am not sure it would be comfortable enough.

I have a had a nice chair for many years which unfortunately broke soon after everyone started to work from home.In search for a desk chair, I came across many there cost several hundred more than this! After reading many reviews, I decided to give this one a try.Assembly was very simple. I was able to put it together myself within about 10 minutes while constantly leaving the room to check on the stove. The chair itself is very comfy. I did have some initial concerns about the lumbar mesh/net wearing away rather quickly. However, ive now had it over a year and it still provides ample support with no signs of wear.Unfortunately there is one very annoying issue I found with the chair: the armrest material!!!I find the armrest fabric soooo coarse! My elbows were sore after the first day of use! Fortunately I had some spare cotton fabric which I wrapped around them… it looks silly but no more issues and no chance of thick calluses growing my elbows!!!In conclusion, for the price, this is a great chair! I can barely tell the difference when compared to my chair in work…. which so happens to cost 6 times as much!!!
MDB –
Slightly awkward to put together on my own (could have used another pair of hands just to hold things in place) but, once achieved, there is a sturdy feel to this chair and it’s comfortable. I particularly like the ability to move the arm rests up out of the way when required.
Paul –
Positive- Gets the job done- Fold up armrests are a nice touch- Relatively “cheap”- looks quite decent at a distance- Delivered super fastNegatives- base difficult to put together (initially thought I’d received a faulty unit)- Seat and armrest material look/feel is very cheap up close- arm rests appear to be slightly different heights (though in fairness this could be down to my assembly)- Concerns over long term comfortThis chair is an improvement on what I was using before, but given what I was using before was a £30 eBay “office” chair that is not saying much. If you are going to be using this chair for long periods of time I would recommend a more established chair from ikea or equivalent. Not the worst office chair in the world but I’m sorry to say I would not overly recommend and have strong concerns over long term comfort and durability.
Mayra –
It’s a really comfortable chair, I already bough two of those. Only thing is that it’s not that easy to assemble alone, I was able to do it both times but would recommend having someone to help
M. Anne –
After 2 years, here is my review. Overall its not a complete disappointment but not worth the money and I would not recommend it. Bought this in 2020 for £85. Now its over £100…No real lumbar/lower back support as you can see from pictures the mesh is loose and it was never giving any real support. Mesh only backrest are rubbish in my opinion. Also with daily use the mesh give out and I had to use covers to stop it from getting worse. It slowly gave me lower back pain which one of the reasons I decided to invest in a better chair. The other downfall is the cheap seat cushion which you can see only barely thick enough before sitting down on it but once sat on it flattens significantly probably to a 3cm thickness, another reason why I’m getting rid of it. Also makes lots of cracking noise now too. See pictures for visuals. So yeh I don’t recommend this chair or any mesh backrest chairs for office jobs where you sitting long hours. The only thing that did not dissapoint is the overall frame as it did not break or crack.

You have to spend a lot of money for a truly 5 star chair. So, saying that, this chair is actually fairly good. It’s pretty easy to set up, and the instruction are very clear and easy to understand. The back part of the chair is slightly difficult to attach onto the rest that you have already built. To make it easier, there should be instructions that say to leave the screws that tighten both arms loose, so that it’s easier to place into position.Other than that, it’s comfortable. The fabric feels of decent quality. The mesh backing that supports your back is probably different to what you would imagine, it seems to do a decent job but it doesn’t feel the same as some other mesh backed chairs where it is slightly elastic material.TLDR; if you are looking for a chair under 100 that you will be comfortable for long periods of time, this is a good purchase. Just remember that it’s good practice to switch sitting positions throughout the day 🙂
😎 –
This chair is easy to assemble. Personally I don’t know why it says it needs 2 people to build it but maybe I’m just a really good chair assembler! I have given this 3 stars because the chair has a slight forward tilt which I don’t think can be rectified. I feel like I’m permanently bending forward. I have started with a bad back but it would be unfair to say it was due to the chair. I have also been doing some DIY which involves bending over and using muscles not used in years. Why mention the bad back? Well just in case it is caused by the chair. You can’t then say that I didn’t mention it!Edit: I put the bottom frame on the wrong way round, hence the tilt! Pretty sure I followed the pictures but hey I own up to that mistake. Now its on right, it’s much better and gains a star. Still only 4 because the arm rests are a bit uncomfortable, like the padding isn’t thick enough.Edit 2: I’m obviously not a master chair builder as implied above.
Lee Buckle –
TLDR: Requires some force to assemble. Arm rests not even when in the up position. Looks great. Comfortable.Overall, great chair and a big upgrade from my previous chair. Comfort is great and it looks really good.Material could be a little more grippy to prevent your bum sliding forward but I’ve not used a mesh chair until this one so it could be normal. This is only slight and not a big deal.My only real issue was assembly. It’s reasonably straight forward, but getting the back piece to line up with the arms in order to bolt it on was very awkward and took considerable force to pry the arm rests apart in order for the holes to line up with those on the back rest. It felt like the back was too wide for the rest of the chair. When the arm rests are the in the up position, one arm rubs against the side of the back rest while the other one doesn’t. Slightly aggravates my OCD. Luckily I rarely need to raise the arms so it’s not really a big deal.
Jon F. –
This chair is OK. Looks good and is quite comfortable, and the folding arms are very useful. Two slight negatives are :1) You have to be very careful when you assemble that the front of the base plate is aligned with the front of the base chair seat otherwise the “lean back” feature will not work – you will, in effect, only be able to lean forward. This is not obvious on the instructions and accounts, I suspect, for some of the negative comments2) Attaching the chair back to the chair base was hard work. The holes do not align very well at all ( on mine ) and it required a lot of brute force to get the screws through and doesn’t feel that “secure”Otherwise a reasonable buy.
Ozman –
This chair has not had a very long life! I purchased this item in May 2021 but it broke down within eighteen months of very light use! The seat plate (which attaches the chair seat to the lifting/lowering shaft is not strong enough to give support for a person of average weight.)Not recommended as a good buy!
Georgina Roche –
Bought as I was working from home during lockdown, but knew I’d be back in the office once lockdown lifted so I didn’t want to spend big money on a chair. For that purpose it was fine, but the base seat does lean forward, so you feel as though you’re going to slide off it all the time.
Uisce –
I have used the chair almost 2 months now. The price is great but I would say the quality is just exactly what you paid for. The biggest thing I want to highlight here is that the cushion on my chair got flat and thinner already and it’s even a level I find it a bit uncomfortable to sit on. It’s deadly thin and it hurts my butt when I keep sitting for a long time, which I do (about 8-9hrs everyday). My weight is around 65kg and I understand that cushions usually get flat and thinner as you use. However, I didn’t expect that happens so quickly and that it gets so uncomfortable to sit on. Well, again the price is reasonable. So it’s fair. But I don’t recommend to buy it unless you need a chair urgently. Othereise, I would spend more money on a better one so that you can use in a longer term. I had no issue and fairly happy with other parts of the chair as they are all exactly what I expected. I hope this helps.
S. Amison –
Had no problem assembling, it looks good, not as bulky as my old multi role chair, the seat had become uncomfortable and this was a pleasant surprise. It could lean back and lock a bit more but my watch buzzes if I sit for too long so, as I said, very good for the price. How long it lasts will be interesting but if I get a year out of it I won’t care.

Edited 2023I wrote “not recommemded” in my previous review. But after some more tests, I notice this chair is ok enough for my daily work. The problem I mentioned in my previous review was due to the adjustment I missed, which I have figured out now.The sitting part is not level, but slope down towards the front, so to maintain my sitting position, more pressure on my back is needed. Having back pain since after.
Mr Lawrence –
I thought this would be a good work chair for my home office but I have noticed some issues. It makes a loud cracking noise from the central pillar when you lean on the left or right sides. All the screws are tight so it must be the central support pillar itself. Additionally, the fabric on the backrest has started to fray where it rests on the plastic frame underneath, I can see this going through altogether eventually. Its not comfortable to use it all day as the foam base gives too. For the price I think I would have expected a bit better as its not that old.
Jack Cooper –
This is a very good chair for the price when you consider the prices places like Argos and Ikea charge for something similar. Assembly was fine besides one step where I needed an extra pair of hands to hold things steady (though the instructions do recommend two people). The seating position itself is quite upright and forces your back into an ergonomic position, which is both good and bad I suppose depending on your preferences. You can lean back with a classic tilt, but the tilt itself is quite springy and resistant, so you definitely have to muscle in some effort should you want to lean. The base itself is quite shallow, meaning longer-legged people may feel slightly uncomfortable with a relative lack of thigh support. Overall, though, for the price you pay, you’d find it tough not to be at least slightly impressed with this chair.

Now, once and for all, there’s nothing wrong with this chair! It’s VERY comfortable and supports your back properly while you’re working at the desk. And (at the moment at least), it’s not expensive.1. How can you fit the seat the wrong way round? There’s a sewn-in label marked “Front” on the underside of the seat, and the mechanism you attach also has “Front” stamped into the metal.2. As with all such kits, DON’T fully tighten the bolts until you have ALL of them in position. That will allow you to adjust the position of the arms as you fit them to the seat and the back.3. No, you can’t adjust the rake of the seat back – it’s fixed as it comes. The word “Tilt” is a bit misleading as all you can do is to pull the seat lever out one inch and rock the whole seat backwards and forwards. Who knows why you should want to do that – it serves no purpose! If you must do it, then you might need to fully undo the large adjustment knob under the seat, otherwise the rocking movement is very stiff.4. Yes, the cushion is not very deep from front to back. Personally, I like it like that, and both my wife and I find it very comfortable although she is much smaller than me.
Cliente Amazon –
I’ve just received the chair and assembled it. So far so good.PROS- Comfortable- The quality is good for the price (£79)CONS- Difficult to assemble, you need to make some force brute- The chair might be small for tall peopleThe assembly instruction recommends two people to assemble the chair. However, I managed to assemble it only by myself. The trick is to NOT tighten the screws of the seat that secure the armrests. In this way, you can place the back between the armrests and tighten the screws securing the back. Once the back is secured, you can tighten the screws of the seat to secure the armrests.
Jeremy –
Bought this chair to replace my old one, as I’ve been working from home since late-March. The armrests on my old chair were plastic with no cover and was causing me a lot of pain on my elbows. I bought this one on a lightning deal and once assembled, it’s a comfortable chair with padding in all the right places. Having the armrests swivel up is a massive plus, because I can fully tuck the chair under my desk, saving more space in my room. The only negative for me is that the chair just isn’t high enough at it’s highest setting. I’ve had to lower my monitor to compensate. Other than that it was a worthwhile purchase.UPDATEI bought a new standing desk and this chair is simply not high enough. I ended up having to buy a new gas cylinder that will take my chair higher. Still a comfy chair but I wouldn’t recommend for anyone whose height is close to 6ft
Harry –
I bought this chair in January of 2021 and at first it was a great chair. However as I used it more and more it begin to sink without the use of the height pedal. I tried to fix it however it has kept on doing this now for over 6 months and It’s quite distracting.I definitely wouldn’t recommend buying this chair purely because of its faults however if you know how to fix this issue, the chair is good.
Julie Ann –
Comfortable adjustable chair, wheels smooth and height easy to change, Slight rocking motion but only to stretch your back, so dont expect a proper rocking chair. The chair would not rock to begin with but now I’ve had it a few weeks, its eased up and moves back/ forward. Nice upholstery but very light so not sure how easy it is too keep clean. When putting together ensure you put the seat on the right direction in relation to the black knob as it wont rock. If you got it on the right way the chair sits normally if you got it on the wrong way, the sitting position of the chair tilts you forward. The black knob needs to face forward when on correctly. I dont think anyone should take notice of these people giving bad reviews, the chair is very comfortable when its set up right !
Jay P. –
I’ve had this chair for around 9 months now, initially it was perfectly fine however over time it’s started to wear down far quicker than it really aught to.The mesh on the back is lovely during summer, however there are a pair of plastic “housings” on the back into which screws connect which push up against the mesh, over time these will quickly erode the mesh through abrasion and begin poking through the back. Once the material starts to give, it’s only a matter of time before the hole grows larger and larger. The recline locking mechanism is…Basically non-existent, it consists of a metal bar that you can either slot into a hole to hold the chair in the single position available or leave loose to allow the chair to freely rock. Because the bar and hole are in no way precise, there is a ton of play between the two and, as such, any movement will slowly wiggle it free, leading to delightful moments where you’ll suddenly experience a mini heart attack as the bar gives way and you’re sent hurtling backwards; lord help you if you’re holding coffee when it happens. The padding on the base is comfortable for the first week or so, but quickly compresses down to the point where it may as well not be there.Overall, this is a chair in the sense that it consists of a raised platform you could theoretically sit on and for that it at least deserves two stars, but I would personally never buy this particular one again, there are far better options out there.
Joseph Phillips –
Reasonably comfortable office chair, I expected the netting to give out first but that’s only loosened a little with time and wearing through where the chair rubs it.The steel bracket between the piston and the chair base has given out however causing the whole seat to tip.

Short ver: Why spend 100 quid on back pain when you can get it for free.I bought because cheapish, had positive reviews, and the only alternatives I knew would be good were more expensive if you have good posture this actively forces you to have bad posture, and if you have bad posture this will make it worse (I can’t stress how much this part of the chair sucks – if this fault didn’t exist I could overlook the others but this is unforgivable, it destroys your back and makes using the chair annoying af)- the “lumbar support” is not lumbar support, it’s just a big jut into your ass that gives no support and makes sitting generally uncomfortable > this design is likely to give you lower back troubles or exacerbate them- the armrest can’t be height adjusted and I’ve yet to meet a friend who’s sat on the seat that finds them at a good height for them, making them both useless and again if you have good posture they stick into your arms- the chair is squeaky and flimsy feeling > retightening the bolts as the manual recommends doesn’t help- the wheels do not all work, meaning if you try to scoot it around as you should be able it’s awkward and cumbersome – this would be fine if the wheels had locks/breaks to keep it in place but they dont, so some wheels slide easily and others stay firmly in place making it annoying for normal useIf you’re considering buying this because it’s cheapish and seems okayish don’t – you’ll buy a chair that will probably annoy the S out of you and also give you back pain. Why pay 100 quid for back pain; I’ll do it for free. Buy a more expensive chair that is guaranteed to be better, you’ll likely have it for many years so it’s worth the investment.

Every time I sat in the chair I felt like I was sliding forward, so hubby tried it and he had the same problem, he tried to alter it but couldn’t, had to keep the chair as the old one broke

…and it’s still really comfortable. I half expected the padding to become less pleasant to sit on but it’s still great. Would buy again if I ever need to. But maybe the black next time.

Was a comfortable chair but after 2 years of ownership the piston has given up and the chair slowly descends whilst you are sitting on it. I don’t work from home so it isn’t as if this chair has had excessive use, only a few hours in the evenings and weekends. A shame because the rest of it is still in good condition.

The chair is great, I bought this in the lockdown while doing work from home and getting a sore back from working at a desk all day. This chair provided good support and feels fairly sturdy. Not bad value for money. The assembly was easy and didn’t take too long. The only issue I’ve had was the arm supports came a little lose but that could be down to my assembly skills…I would recommend this chair for students as it has been particularly useful for a few hours of study. However, if you’re working long days (+5) I don’t think this chair would provide quite enough support as the bottom of the chair does become uncomfortable to sit on after a few hours – perhaps a more supportive chair is appropriate for you.

Nice chair good support and easy to move

Quality is as you’d expect at this price, but more importantly it’s comfortable enough for long periods sitting. I’m 6’2 and it provides enough back support for comfort although obviously this not an orthopaedic device – it’s nothing more than a reasonably comfortable office chair.
