Took me ages to choose one but liked the look of this one. It is good to look at and solid. Easy to put together although a mystery when first unpacked. As for the roof that some have complained about, yes very tight to get on, you do need strength, but it does mean a tight and sturdy fit once it’s on. Only had it a few days, so far so good, although tue price dropped few days after I bought it which p***ed me off a bit.

We purchased this in 2021 and after two years and an ice storm that ripped my canopy apart, I had to buy a new top. I contacted the company and received a reply in less than a day. I followed up and immediately got a reply, again within a day. The customer service of Purple Leaf is incredibly good. I received a new canopy at a very reasonable cost and it took less than 5 minutes to put it all together again.The product is sturdy, built well and easily will hold three adults without problems. I would not only recommend them but I would 100% buy from them again if I ever need to.

I originally gave this only two stars (see original review). While the original canopy design was flawed, the company has revised it and after the second problem with our original canopy, they sent me new gears, the redesigned canopy and hardware. I wound up not replacing the gears on the canopy side because they were rivetted on (which means I would have to have drilled out the old gear rivets to install the new gears, which install with bolts). The new canopy has a split over the adjustment knobs and Velcro fastening strips which allows one to put the metal frame for the canopy onto the swing frame first, then slip canopy onto it. Worked great.The company has been very responsive to the problem. I’d just be sure when ordering this to ask for the revised canopy if possible.Original review.The basic frame of the swing is sturdy. I wish there was a little more room between the swing and frame because if your arm is on the armrest you hit the frame when you swing.The canopy is a nightmare and poorly designed. The canopy cover is too small for the frame, so it takes intense pressure and manhandling to attach it and “seat” the gears. The one time we managed to get enough force to get the gear plates to fully seat, there was so much force on the frame from the fabric that the screw WITH THE NUT STILL ATTACHED pulled completely through the plastic plate of the gear.Other reviewers have had the same problem, so you’d think the company would address this.I gave it one star on ease of assembly because of the canopy. The rest of the swing is not difficult to assemble.

Sturdy, comfortable yard swing.
I am happy we purchased this swing. it arrived promptly through FedEx. All the parts were labeled and it was easy to put together. Even the tools to put the swing together are included. As recommended in the instruction book, you do need two people. The swing is very comfortable and sturdy . My husband is 6ft. 4 inches and finds he can can relax against the seat back. I would recommend this swing, it is worth the additional costs compared to other yard swings. If you have any problems, Purple Leaf customer service is very supportive.

Beautifully packaged, easy to assemble.Great quality for the money. The box says made in China but the instructions show Canada. Based upon the quality I would guess Canada. The instructions are all clearly illustrated pictures (no written instructions) so as long as you’re good with that, you’ll be good to go. No problems with any drilled holes or hardware.. everything went smoothly. Product looks exactly like their photo. Assembly took Less than 1 hour with 2 people. We will definitely buy from this company again.

UPDATED REVIEW 6/30/2022 – Incorrect Parts Sent, Unable to Assemble
Ordered 6/14, received 6/24/2022. Started the assembly process and once I got to the part where you assemble the arm rests to the seat, I noticed that I did not get both a left and right arm rest as noted by the instructions stating one arm rest was part G and the other arm rest is part H.Instead, I received two (2) part G’s, making this swing unable to be assembled as shipped. I have emailed the seller/manufacturer about the problem and requested they ship me the missing part H. I will update this review once I get a response and know that the missing part is on the way and received.UPDATE 6/30/2022: After receiving a response from the seller/manufacturer on 6/28/2022 asking for a picture of the 2 same parts I received, today I received the correct missing part and was able to finish the assembly of the swing.The swing works beautifully, is very comfortable, and was very easy to assemble. I am not using the canopy yet because I have this placed under my patio cover. So I will save the parts and canopy in case I decide to move the swing from under the patio cover.Customer service was excellent and resolved my issue very quickly.

Sturdy swing!
I assembled the swing by myself, 70 yo f, and it was difficult but I like challenges. Two people would be best. Once assembled I was happy with how sturdy it felt. The seat is comfortable, firm back support; however, I am short so when my feet touch the ground the seat fabric cuts into the backs of my lower thighs and knees. I put a folded gardening kneeler (3-4 inches high) to rest my feet on and that solved the problem. Thought about lowering the seat but that may make the swing less sound. I spend 1-2 hours a day enjoying the swing. As a matter of fact, I am writing this from my swing now! 😎

Product vs. Assembly Guide
Likes — appears to be very sturdy. Assembly was nothing out of ordinary for this type of product = non-flexible metal parts with holes that have to be lined up. Helps to have a second set of hands and eyes. Very comfortable with good distance from the ground and high back. Looks really good. So far good response from customer service. Now the real test is how well it stands up to the weather. Good reason to have follow-up reviews.Dislikes — instruction guide. Typical in some ways with pictorial non-word guides = leaves a lot to the interpretation. Left out putting together the canopy instead shows a drawing of a completed canopy and not the parts — fabric and frame. This is what cost them a star.

Great swing to reduce stress
This swing brings comfort to my son, who has autism and adhd. He loves it and that makes me happy.You definitely have to have an extra hand with some muscle to put it together. Racket wrench set and a sturdy allen wrench set definitely will make it easier to put together. I only needed my spouse’s help twice with the trickier parts of assembly.Be sure to study the instructions carefully. Each bag or part is labelled with a letter so pay attention to that. Only a few times I had to remove a few screws and place it into the correct hole.It only took us a few hours from start to finish, and I did most of the work myself. It can also hold a good amount of weight. It is designed for gentle swinging which is what my son needs. I am definitely satisfied.

The canvas canopy is a little small. The Velcro tape barely connects after fully stretching the canopy. The rubber feet need a small hole in the bottom to drain rainwater.Otherwise, everything is fine.

Just what I was looking for
I bought this swing after my other 1 fell apart. This was exactly what I was looking for. Putting it together was not a big deal (my 14 year old actually did it)…The fact that this swing doesn’t have the common cushion seating is a great plus. for the 1st time I was able to sit outside right after it stopped raining, rather than wait for hours for the seat to dry up.I was surprised with how comfortable the seat was.

Swing was easy to put together but there was a necessary trip to the hardware store to get a couple of longer screws. The only other problem was putting on the canopy. There was no amount of physical effort that would make the canopy fit and secure it with the velcro. I contacted company with issue. They immediately responded, asked for pictures and sent me a replacement canopy. Can’t ask for more than that.

Love this swing
Bought this for my wife for her birthday. She absolutely loves it. One of the best features we think is that you don’t need cushions on it…and it’s still very comfortable. That means that it dries quickly after a rain and you don’t have to worry about removing the cushions every time it rains. Assembly took awhile, but not longer than I expected. Very happy with this purchase.

Very lightweight, almost sails away in light winds.
Had some initial challenges in assembly with missing pieceparts/incorrect orders that were eventually resolved with vendor. However, the entire swing is very lightweight, and with the overhead shade acting as a sail, it moves very easily in even light winds. We’ve put a cover on it for the winter and had to tie it in multiple points to our deck railing to keep it from sliding everywhere during winter storms.

Great price for this sturdy attractive swing ! Assembled in 1 1/2 hours by someone who knows what he’s doing & a helper . Yes , the canopy is the hard part because it is very taut , but this provides a non sag fit and won’t allow rain to pool and sag the canopy and keep gusts of wind from whipping it around . I highly recommend this product !

My brother-in-law assembled this swing for me, and he had a good bit of trouble. However, the swing itself is very attractive and is a good size for a small space. I am a somewhat short lady (5’2″) and the seat of the swing is too deep for me. I haven’t purchased an outdoor-type pillow for it yet, so I always take a fat pillow from inside the house to put behind my back when I go out to the swing.

Not for 3 adults
This is an attractive swing and appears sturdy enough. Assembly took me a couple hours by myself. The instructions had Detail views for hardware position/order but the Detail views were way too small. The disappointment and low rating is because of the middle swing seat. There’s a flat steel support bar that runs underneath the center sling seat about one inch below the sling material. It is not formed with any arch. When an adult sits in the middle seat that flat support bar is obtrusive and uncomfortable. We wanted a 3 seat swing and paid a higher price for three seats. This swing is only comfortable when sitting on the end cushions. Not really a 3 seater unless its a 30 pound child in the middle seat.

The swing itself is very sturdy and well made but the instructions for assembling it could have a lot easier to follow. The seats are quite comfortable and since they are made of a mesh fabric they do not require the use of cushions. The canopy was very easy to install.
