We bought this for a shady little corner in the garden, it is very attractive but its simply not comfortable to sit on for anything longer than a few minutes. A couple of cushions of the patio furniture helped enormously so overhaul we are happy.

In needed a seat this compact to fit in a tight corner, so that I could look down the long diagonal of a section of garden, in quiet contemplation. Perfect. I’m slim and my wife is, ahem, not slim: we can sit together in cosy comfort. Dimensions given are overall outside measurements (outside edges of armrests are one metre apart) and the curve helps it to fit the tight corner. Be aware that this is a matt black bench that that been “antiqued” by a random brushing with green paint. I can scrape off the green with my finger nail, so I’m not sure how durable the green is (that’s why I dropped star rating to four). Screws, washers and nuts are all black on the version supplied to me. Overall appearance is good for this price. Assembly straightforward – alan key and spanner provided; own screwdriver useful but not essential. Instruction writer grew weary of writing “washer, spring washer and nut”: sometimes forgot to mention spring washer and sometimes wrote lock-nut – but for this bench its always washer, springwasher then nut

A lovely set in colour, shape and comfort. It was a less solid than expected but I’m still happy that I bought it to accompany a matching table and two chairs. . It looks very pretty and inviting in amongst the flowers and greenery and is just waiting for some complimentary cushions.

This is a small 2 seater ,strong easy to put together ,and attractive to look at ,comfortable ,would advise getting a cushion because it can get quite hot on the couple of days in the year that we get strong sunshine

Given the positive reviews for this product, we have been left very disappointed. The components are clearly cheaply made, with poor threading on the nuts and bolts, sharpness on parts of the bench edges, and very misaligned holes on one arm piece meaning ours is impossible to fully assemble. The legs, however, did all attach well, and on that basis we can say that this is not what we would call sturdy, unless using for children or slim adults. My husband weighs a solid 15 stone, and when he sat on it alone the legs push out in a worryingly weak way. It is very much an ornamental piece rather than something built for regular use by adults. Given the current coronavirus situation we are unable to return it, but regret the purchase and cannot recommend such poor quality at this price point. Shame, as it is a very pretty design.

Very sturdy, lovely to sit on, no rusting or problems with silver fittings as mine cam with black ones. Perfect for a patio or corner of the garden. The instructions are tiny but they have letters and number references on the instructions. Handy hint, write the numbers and lettters from the instructions onto the cardboard box and sort the fittings to go with them. This way when you put it together (which is very easy), you can follow the picture rather than try and see the ‘antsized’ writing.

Got this for a small space in my mum’s garden and at just over 3 feet wide, it is ideal. I found it quite easy to assemble and the bench seems very stable once put together. We bought the green version – it looks lovely and is comfortable enough, but might add a cushion if sitting for longer periods! Really pleased with our purchase.

sturdy, reasonably easy to put together, black screws …some reviews say silver. just right for two people in tiny garden as an addition to bistro table and two chairs. The bench is a mottled green/black colour. The screws provided to construct the bench are silver coloured and this makes the bench look cheap, I was disappointed with this. It was relatively easy to put together.
