There is nothing wrong with this product other than I bought it for my cantilever parasol so purchased the extra mount as well and the issue I found in my opinion is that the heater lights do not give off sufficient heat for this setup. I’m sure if you use with a standard pole parasol and you are sitting around a table underneath the light it would be fine. The quality of the product seemed all good. As said nothing wrong with this just not as powerful as I’d hoped and so I decided to return the them.Depending on how you want to use them could still be a good option.

These lights take the chill off a summer’s evening. Don’t expect any more. I’m disappointed because I took someone else’s advice on not going above 2000w for use under a gazebo, but wish I’d gone 3k. You have to have these within I would say 4ft of your face to feel the benefit, and obviously they need to be directed at you. If you have 8 people sitting around with these suspended at 6ft then you’ll get very little from them other than the orangey light.
Amazon Customer –
Simply excellent and £30 cheaper than a local garden centre. The only problem is that the wire supplied is very, very short at less than 6ft.

After much deliberating on what sort of patio heather to buy, decided that one at the table was the most useful as that’s where everyone spends the most time! The product is well built, very sturdy (just so you know the item hinges in half so you don’t have to feed it up from the base of the umbrella). All four lamps can be angled individually and in total gives easily enough heat for an 8 person dining table. Though the unit is quite bright works to your advantage as you do not need any other lighting at the table. The only downside, and it is a very very small downside, is the length of the cable from the unit to the plug, but another can be purchased if this is a problem, Amazon do a 10 metre one, have included a link to this after the review. Anyway hope this helps anyone considering this product.http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0048S8R5U/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1434950940&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX110_SY165&keywords=10+m+kettle+lead

Simple, straightforward and effective. I use mine with a hanging bracket as my parasol is a cantilever. You can have two or all four lamps on. They are effective at heating the area under them and are unaffected by wind. They are sturdy and well constructed. The cable is not very long, so I replaced it with a very long one that reaches across to the house (better than using extension leads). This is an ideal product to extend your spring/summer/autumn evening in the garden. It is not intended to keep you warm on very cold winter days, but it would take the edge off a chill.
Graham’s Amazon Stuff –
The heater works well, and is easy to install, but after just a few hours, one of the four bulbs blew. I thought I would just buy another, until I found they are over £10 each. I asked Amazon for a replacement bulb, but they would only take the whole unit back. This was too inconvenient, so we just soldier on with only 3 bulbs working. I have not bought a replacement bulb yet, as I am waiting to see if anymore blow early, before spending out on replacements or returning the whole unit. Amazon customer service was prompt, but very inflexible, and ultimately did not solve my problem. The cost of collecting the whole unit and sending a replacement, was probably more than just sending me a new bulb, local managers need to be empowered to make logical local decisions, to keep customers happy and save Amazon money

Absolutely brilliant product. It is easy to fit/clamp around the pole and provides immediate heat which keeps you perfectly warm into the chilly night. Love the fact that you can also switch between having 2 or all 4 lamps working. You will definitely need an extension cable as supplied lead is very short, just reaching the table. This is the only reason that I have not given it 5 out of 5 stars. I purchased a replacement 5m C13 kettle lead for £7.99 and problem solved.

Lead is too short but nice heat comes it and well pleased .

Product arrived promptly, instructions were a bit vague , I positioned the parasol pole through the heater hole diameter which is adjustable but then found a problem as this pole has bracket with a pulley to erect the parasol. However after studying the heater unit I found another adjusting bolt to open the unit allowing you to clamp it on the pole above any restrictions and fitted perfectly. Good heat output but need to test it when not 37 degrees which was a first for July !

I have attached this to my over hanging parasol with the aid of the La Hacienda chain (purchased separately) and it works perfectly, gives out the perfect amount of heat and light, Nights in the Garden have just got much longer!
Tokes –
Decent enough unit with good heat output. Unit itself becomes pretty hot so be careful when handling. Power lead is frustratingly short!
Claire Chambers –
I would recommend. Please tell to site out in the evenings. When it is a bit colder. I tend use a blanket over my legs as well! I love the fact it can operate one sided too!

I have just used this product tonight due to crap weather.. Took to a friends tonight for a BBQ, IT def served its purpose..we managed to stay out much longer in the garden with it on…I’m sure once we have fiddled with the height etc we could have stayed out much loner..the rain stopped play… Really p,eased with its performance … Gave out a lot of heat…looking forward to a lot more use…dry weather permitting…

Used this in the garden with friends. Lots of compliments and gives good light and just enough heat for a spring evening. Very easy to attach to an umbrella did buy a extension lead as read previous reviews. Would highly recommend.
mary reilly –
Hi this is a great heater. Unfortunately one of the bulbs was not working. I cannot contact seller to have them send a relacement.
LLM –
I bought this as an alternative to a gas heater type. It’s more convenient for me and running costs are probably less although cost was not a driver for me. Heat is instant-on and two opposing heaters can be switched off so that 2 or 4 heaters can be used. The unit is well made and easy to fit but has to be taken off the pole to close the umbrella. The heat output is just about right although I have not used it for particularly cold days yet. The unit is wired well (i.e. seems very safe) but it will be necessary to use an extension cable in my case because my outside socket is too far away.
S. Williams –
Lights up an evening table and you can feel the heat when your head is in the ray – If you think you can still sit outside with a t-shirt on then it’s not for you. It just takes the evening chill away. Easy to connect and disconnect as it wraps around the parasol pole. Recommend a 10m kettle lead to extend the cable.
A Jensen –
This heater is excellent, especially if you have children running around as it cannot be knocked over and quite difficult for them to reach, unless climbing on table. Only slight negative point being the umbrella needs to be open to use the heater and as we had it on during daylight (to avoid the indoor noise of shouting Liverpool fans watching match), we missed the daylight. Having said that too much Sun is not a good thing. We did remove it after use but not sure we needed to, it is easy to fit according to my husband, do think a shorter person would struggle to fit it with ease.
D. Skolfield –
Well I read a lot of reviews about this heater, which were all good and mostly 5 star. It is well built and fits round the pole good, but it is more of a light that a patio heater. Amazon say it,s a patio heater, but when you get the box it says it’s a heater/light!! Great for atmosphere. So when the outside temp is not too cold, you will feel the heat from it, but as soon as the outside temp drops, it does struggle, so not as good as I thought, so sent it back.I think you need at least 850w per lamp, not 500w like this one.
Maggi –
Put together easily & mounted in parasol with ease. Lead could be a bit a longer as it didn’t reach the edge of my table after being extended above in the parasol so the extension lead was showing on the table which spoiled it. Gave good heat though & easy to store away for next year.
Nikon User –
We found that it did not produce enough heat and needed to be mounted very close to people to have any effect. We started by using at the top of the parasol but it had no effect at all for people seated. We needed to move it to about 3 ft above the table and 3ft away from people for heat to be felt and this was on a day of about 14c even then it was not warm enough to keep us outside. After about one hour one of the bulbs started to flash and so was the final straw as needed to return as not working or fit. As other reviews, disappointed and probably need either a different techology, so not halogen, or a bigger wattage, say 750w per lamp.
Paul Bowman –
Well constructed patio heater, cable a little on the small size but long enough to fit just below the centre of the table into an extention lead.Only used it once so far and it was a little windy so didn’t get much heat but it does give off a lot of heat otherwise
Duffster21 –
Provides a reasonable amount of heat in calm conditions. If it is windy this will not be all that effective. Also you don’t tend to get hot with this heater – rather it makes sitting outside in cool weather bareable.Electrical leaf should be longer
Amazon Customer –
Doesn’t get as warm as I was expecting.
Paul –
Had to return first heater as bulbs (with one year warranty) kept blowing. No problem from Amazon re. return. Bought same heater again, though £9 dearer and Amazon not willing to refund difference. No problems to date with this heater.
steven kelly –
When it was fully working it was fine in our gazebo but after only a few hours usage a bilb blew, ive message about a replacement but no reply, looks like sorting myself!
Rich P –
Excellent build quality, but not as effective as the trifold units. Relatively speaking you get a lot more heat than the trifold unit I had previously. Needs a longer cable as this requires you to purchase an extension.
Golfing again –
This product works well unless it is windy. The heat is blown away before it reaches you.
Homesitter –
We bought this heater to go under our new Gazebo so that we could spend more time in the garden after a summer Bar-B-Q. We have only had the opportunity to try it out once so far and despite the wind doing it’s best we certainly enjoyed the extra time outside that this heater gave us. Very impressed with this stylish heater. Looking forward to many more evenings with this cosy heater switched on.
RAYMOND SPELLER –
Great item takes the chill off when sitting round table good price does the job
Hans Gruber –
A great patio heater for the price. Easy to assemble and secured really well to the parasol.Plenty of heat and a nice glow from it.Def recommend this.
Paul Overaa –
A little expensive but it seems a reasonable purchase and works as expected.
Amazon Customer –
Not yet used in garden but have switched it on and gives off lovely heat so impressed so far! Few small issues though:1.when I opened the box one of the nuts and bolts that hold the one of the lamps in place was missing, lucky I had a spare in my garage that almost matches.2. In the description it says that the unit is supplied with a 3m power lead, but intact the one on my heater is only 1.6m long so description is totally miss leading and needs to be changed so other buyers don’t get caught out like I did. Will give update and hopefully increase stars once used
Dermot –
I can’t really say that this works. The heat from this is quite weak, so you need to have it very close to be effective. So you WON’T want to keep this at the top of your umbrella, for instance: more like eye level or hat level. That puts it in the way of seeing the people around the table, and means that light shines in your eyes (enough to leave those tracers when you blink). Each lamp heats a tiny area directly in front of it, to about arm’s length. Even at hat level, you have to stay very close to feel warm: more than you normally would sitting at a garden table without looking and feeling awkward.Even with all those things tolerated, it will warm your face and maybe shoulders on a barely chilly day, whilst leaving your legs cold.
Hfamily –
Very easy to put on parasol.
Amazon Customer –
Great product, should have bought one years ago. Gives off good heat and allows you to enjoy an extra few hours outside after that long day
John Falconer –
It doesn’t give out as much heat as I expected but it does take the chill of a cool evening in the garden. Useful to help you make the most of a pleasant Autumn evening (if we get any 🙁 ).
Derek Watson –
Great price and quality merchandise
Nicola Ryan –
Really pleased with this has allowed us to use our garden far more often. Really good value for money.
Mr. V. W. Wildgoose –
Arrived quickly .. Looks the part Only plugged it in to observe at the moment .. But so far impressed
lil-ogz –
Heats up straight away, but I didn’t realize the lamps were so bright, it was like sitting under a spotlight, I had to buy the bronze lampswhich weren’t so bright
Amazon Customer –
Good sturdy piece of kit. Seems well made so pleased with construction.BUT thing is the lead is much shorter than advertised length of 3m. More like 1m and that’s being generous. This is a problem for me as the length of lead was one of the things I looked for.
Andy J, Cheshire –
Wow!, this heater really works well. They give out great heat and a very nice red glow that makes you feel even warmer, but alas my mind was always on the vision of my electric meter going ten to the dozen. If you prepared for the warmth versus cost trade off this heater is great.
Mr Steve Jones –
Don’t waste anymore time searching for your heating solution. Buy this!! Very well made, gives fantastic heat and easy to setup.I had 12 9/10 year old girls over for my daughter’s birthday and they spent most of their time outside under the gazebo, without coats, enjoying the heat. Can’t recommend enough.
Chilled –
Good but not as hot as I was hoping for. You need to have the heaters quite low to be able to benefit from the heat they are generating. However, being electric, you know you will never run out.
Aneta Mackell –
The media could not be loaded.
By the look a very good quality product, heat up very quickly and gives the warm but the bulbs keeps busting, first bulb stop working 5 minutes later after switching the power on. Contacted the seller straight away but never got any response, no very good customer service. I had to buy additional bulbs somewhere else.
Jonathan McAuley –
Great heat brilliant product a bit pricey but still a good buy
Lynne Coverley –
Well I decided this was too large for my own patio and bought a tabletop one via Amazon as well, but as my son-in-law had admired the original one,I gave it to him as a birthday gift. He used it for the first time at a barbecue last Saturday and it was good! However this weekend he put it on again and one of the bulbs failed! So I am actually annoyed about my purchase now as I would not expect that to happen after approximately 3 hours usage!!
Zoticus –
Great little product – bordering on useless if there’s too much wind – but then maybe thats the time to go in.
Peter –
just arrived looks good but I noted from some comments that people received spare bulbs mine does not.
