I had an over new round head unit, with the same output rating that claimed to heat up to 5 meters or 2.5 meters around it, but it was useless, even though it got good ratings. so ist being returned…I then bought this.How different they are…On its lowest setting I can feel it over 2.5 meters away and the higher setting I had to take my jumper off as I was overheating.I use this indoors in my cutting room where I cut classic car carpets for a living and there is a lot of standing in one place.My main 9kw 3 Phase fan heater fires up and gets the place warm within 10 minutes, I switch that off and this keeps me warm at the bench and I don’t need the 9Kw after that.Really impressed, can’t wait to lose the remote as I always do, but thankfully you can still control it from the integral buttons on the side.Josh

I bought two of these from appliance direct, branded differently and missing a switch but essentially the same unit. They were priced at £79.99, decided I needed a third unit to heat my patio, the price had gone up. It crept up to £149.99. I decided I no longer needed a third. I then spotted this on Amazon for £89.99. Grabbing one as soon as I could I’m pleased that I did. The unit is remote controlled, with a basic IR remote, on or off, 1 or 2 kw. All 3 units work off one remote which is great. They are IR heaters so they heat objects rather than air, this means they won’t warm up a space but they will warm you, with a gust of wind you won’t lose all the warmth but if you’re not in line with the element you can’t feel the heat. They do give off a very red glow, I don’t think it’s a problem but beware they are quite bright.

Just make sure it’s in an enclosed space as any wind and you can’t feel the heat like anything outside weather permitting but looks smart

Good heater for a small price, I work in a very cold big unit had fan heaters but they only made a draught so made me more colder than warm, this heats things rather than the air so I feel warmer as soon as it’s plugged in & switched on. Don’t know how good it is out side as I’ve not used it for that purpose.

Prompt delivery of heaters. Sadly 1 had been broken in transit. An email to the supplier was responded to very quickly offering a replacement or refund. We chose a replacement which was delivered within 2 days. Due to the quantity and power of the heaters we had to have additional wiring installed otherwise they would trip the circuit breakers – but this was expected.The heaters blend nicely with the pergola and add a nice glow.I cannot recommend this supplier enough, their customer service has been excellent.

I bought this to use in paint drying room in my freezing workshop. Does what you expect it to do. Easy to setup. Only negative is power lead is fairly short. Bearing in mind most people are going to be installing this up high.

Got this for gym/outhouse that’s well built but no insulation or heating. This heater is ideal as it provides instant heat when you’re in front of it. You can work up a sweat lifting and then while resting between sets stand near this and prevent yourself from getting cold.

The heater is very high quality including the fixing brackets and bolts. The remote control is much better than the usual pull cord and the heater comes on instantly. The control uses two AAA batteries which last longer than ones from the CR range which are often used in remote controllers. Surprisingly the batteries are NOT included and there is no mention of this on the Amazon website.

Great heater for garage. Tip if your fixing it to joist mount it on a board an screw board to joist I have mine 1/3 in to the garage 10 cm from the roof with on problems stand 10 feet away an you still feel the heat .

Installed this in my workshop. It works well and is effective. Easy to install with a couple of screws ino a wood joist and the cable was long enough for a high level socket outlet. The remote control is essential and works well. Worth the money. Highly recommended.

My only criticism of this heater is that the power supply cable should be longer, maybe doubled in length.

Only works if you sit directly below it, and then it only heats the top of your head. I used it on a 8ft x 3ft balcony and it is just too small with not enough heat output.

This looks good and we were eager to install it however the heating element was smashed and has to be returned. We contacted Amazon on the same day we received it but so far we’ve received nothing.Very disappointed and not impressed by customer service so far!!

When opening the product I discovered that the heating element was broken – the glass tubing around the wire appears to have cracked and split leaving broken glass inside the heater. Dissapointed. Requested heater to be returned. Still waiting to hear back from the seller.
