Heavy duty
Supported my vehicle as it should. Not a fault but I would have thought welding the vermicelli supports would be better on the inside of the angle iron than the outer. In the event of a weld failure the upright would rest on the base rather than lose all its strength. I will keep an eye on it. If it was being used a lot I might return it.

You get what you pay for.
Straight to the point; I wouldn’t trust these ramps with 2.5t on them! Before I worked under my 4×4 (2.3t), I made sure I used good quality wheel chicks and axle stands. The angle-iron is too smaller a gauge to be ‘heavy duty’, the welding is very ‘blobby’ and ‘unfinished’, almost as if it’s just tacked together and yet to be welded properly.Extra wide? I’d hate to see the standard sized ones then! My Jeep with standard tyres on hand over both sides of the ramp. You have to be very accurate and very careful when putting your vehicle on them.Beware the random sharp edges: use decent work gloves to grab these ramps or you will draw blood. Numerous times. Don’t ask me how I know this ……….As a positive, they were very cheap compared to the competition. Because they are very ‘cheap’ ……….It’s difficult for me to recommend these.Read full review…

OK for small light vehicles
The packaging for this product was all but useless, a fairly heavy item in a flimsy large cardboard box is not going to work. Items were not damaged luckily, but must have been very awkward for the carrier to deliver.Product works OK , but quality isn`t great, welds are messy and some very sharp edges, which I buffed down with a file. Ramps are not very wide, anything over 185 tyre size will likely overhang, and the ramps tend to slip easily when driving up on to them.I used some old railway sleepers under them to get a bit of grip which worked out OK, this also increased the height clearance, other wise it would be a bit of a squeeze to get under the car, even if small build.I would only use these for small cars, they may be suitable for bigger vehicles, but I am not convinced. Also NO instructions or tips on safety with these at all, which I feel is essential, I have used ramps before, so I know how to be careful, but others may not.Read full review…

Great value and does the job
These work fine for me, could be better. I had to use a high lift jack to get my car onto them its too low to drive up but that would be the case for all ramps. If I had any recommendations it would be that they are a little narrow for today’s tyres – mine overlap both side, and also that the part the tyre rests in is very short for large diameter wheels – you only just get to top of ramp before hitting the stop. Finally the steel is quite thin gauge – nothing like the old ones used to be, so only for small cars. Think a Range Rover or similar would crush them flat so check you cars weight before getting under them. I couldn’t find anything better for sale !

Should have looked at reviews first.
After I placed and paid for these, I checked other reviews and found a mixed bag. I thought some people were just being a bit harsh regarding quality and finish. First hand experience is always best I thought. The units arrived fast, and im not surprised, as mine arrived with areas of rust already on a few areas. They appear strong, but the welds are badly done, and so is the finish. My Vectra is 1550 in weight, so at 2 and half tons rating, they should be safe. But i’ll drive up these with caution. If I hear the slightest creak, i’ll be dumping them and buying something better. I’m the one who will be underneath the car working. Before I use them though, i’ll be sanding off all the sharp edges of the welds (some are razor sharp) and giving them a good coat of hammerite or I doubt they wont survive the elements. I’m not surprised some have considered sending theirs to trading standards as they do seem a bit of a bodge job. I wonder if the seller has taken these points up with whoever makes these or in fact have actually used the ramps. Read full review…

Good quality but with a design flaw
These ramps are of good quality and the extensions work well with low cars – such as my Ford Focus, BUT they are unstable and for this reason I am wary of recommending them. The front edge (below the stop bar) is vertical; when I drove up them and the tyres met the stop bar the ramps tipped up – the ramp end jamming under the sill. I had to back off a bit to bring them back to the ground. I have other ramps, on those the base extends further forward than the top and the stop bar, meaning they don’t tip. These could be good but need a design modification – the front should slope forward to a longer base.Use with care.

Better than i expected, mine are Strong, Sturdy and safe to use, great item for the price, perfect for use on my 4×4.
After reading several reviews of this item on various sites i was hesitant whether to purchase or not, but i took the plunge and got them, i am pleased i did, they are fantastic, good quality for the price, strong and do the job, i have a 4×4 (Landrover) and they are fine for that.

Ok for price, but check size.
As others have said, build quality not the best with loads of weld splatter but for the price that is to be expected. I cannot see though how 21cm wide is classed as extra wide, to me that is misleading as most car ramps are around this width and they are not very tall. Overall though, price alone makes them worthwhile, particularly with free delivery.

Stout and good value
Looks sturdy and reasonably well made. I might put some more paint on them as they will spend most of their life outdoors. One star lost because none of my cars can drive onto the ramps due to to the steep angle. The bottom edge of the bumper apron fouls the ramp. This is not an insoluble problem but is a minor inconvenience.

Simple and safe to use.
just the right height, sturdy and well finished. Proved themselves this last week when I did the oil and filter swap on my 2 tonne shogun.

Not really wide.enough!!!!
The Ramps look good quality, however, they were supposed to be wide! My Mercedes tyres are wider than the Ramps, that is a problem. They may be ok for my Yaris, so they will not be as useful as I thought. I am sorry to give a negative review, but this is my experience, width of Ramps, should be stated on website, to avoid disappointment!

You get what you paid for
It’s strong enough to roll my van up while it still had a few plasterboards in the back with no creaking or bending. The angle steel is sharp where the tyre rolls up but if you have a grinder just round the edges to keep the tyre safe and that’s fine. The welding is just a blob but it seems to have penetrated both surfaces, and the paint covers it. I don’t know what people expect from the cheapest one available?
timthemenace –
Frightened me and my wife, she was watching me level the van
Bought these ramps to level our motor home on the drive, just the rear of the vehicle no weight less than a ton. Reversed on and 1 side bent and shot out. Dropping the van bang on the ground. Damaged a shock absorber. Costing me 70 pounds plus labour. As you can guess Thompson will get a bad review. Is anyone reading this

Great overall value for money.
What can I say, they’re well made, strong and easily hold the weight of most if not all cars.I use them to perform oil changes on my cars and they are easy to drive up as they have stops at the top to give you feedback when to brake. They are heavy though, but really that’s to be expected considering their strength.I chose the 2.5ton ones as you never know what you need in the future but they do have smaller ones that are slightly cheaper.

Extra Wide?????
Bought these ‘extra wide’ ramps due to having 18″ low profile tyres on my car, Unfortunatley they do not accommodate my wheels, so can’t really say that they are extra wide. Good quality and not too heavy, would recommend but for narrower tyres.

Does The Job.
The items were what I expected for the price. The construction is sound, although could have been finished a little better. But seeing as they are going to get a lot of use, they are bound to get scraped here and there. But make sure that your car is not near to the ground, otherwise you will require the ramp extensions. All in all, worth the money.

excellent but could be better
This is a well made and substantial product. I have suggested two things which I think would improve it further to the seller.1) the bracket which prevents it rising too high, is only held by one bolt I suggest two to prevent / make it less likely to work loose.2)A means of locating the hydraulic jack firmly in posistion on the base be added to prevent slippage/movement in use .These are minor points but I suggest would increase its safety.

Solid ramp which works well with Mini through to Range Rover.
Can finally get Wife’s mini up in the air to work on without having to drive it up onto intermediate ramp to even be able to get my trolley jack under the car. Also supports the Range Rover without issue. The ramp being wide enough to accommodate the RR tyres.

Dangerous & Unsafe and the Car Tips as they are too light to hold much weight.
Very unstable and unsafe my car tipped up on these as they are far too light. Although heavier ones are a pain to carry about they are much safer. Lucky for me I had had the sense to use axle stands or I would not be writing this.

car ramps
they do the job that’s the main thing. as one review said about this product is the amount of splatter from the weld. the spray job was rough. as a retired welder and fabi I wouldn’t let these go from the work shop. .a part from that they do the job well. and ideal for a 4×4 vehicle
morrisonuk –
Not great, but do the job
I mean they do what they say on the tin. But they’re really cheap. The welds are horrible. They’re very sharp and just overall bad quality. I would pay a bit more and get some better quality ones
da_ta_1712 –
NOT heavy duty, appallingly weak welds.
On first use weld failed, ramp collapsed, flew up and punctured fuel tank! £180 to supply and fit new tank. Looks like a visit to the Small Claims Court will be the next move…
triga-61 –
Well built, not fit for purpose
These ramps are well built, welding looks good however quite useless unless you are driving a 4WD onto them. I have attached a couple of pictures for reference, a VW Passat and Seat Leon we’re unable to use the ramps.
harriott07 –
Great addition to my tool kit
I put in the given code and got these for 30 quid delivered, and delivered before time too, they seem very sturdy though I have not used them yet, I have 1 mk2 CR-V and I would feel comfortable with these, even so I would always use axle stands with as well.
x-rated4x4 –
Shockingly bad build quality. Possibly dangerous. Not worth it at any price.
These car ramps are the worst quality I’ve ever seen. They are bent and twisted. The welds only just touch the joints in certain areas. The weight baring areas are not equal therefore if stress tested personally I think they would fail dismally. DANGEROUS!
woppawillie09 –
I just did ! !
A little wider (my tyres are 245’s), and a little higher (Maybe 4-5cms) would be good. But the price was good,so I ain’t complaining. Thank you.

Ramp extentions
Needed ramps with extensions for Golf oil change, great for low fronted cars wish we had them for sons previous cars would have made life SOOO much easier getting them in the air to work underneath. Good quality, value and delivery time. Well happy
nimcaa_v3zqldfm –
Well made.
Very well made. Have read poor reviews about poor welding and paintwork. Mine were great working alongside my COUGAR car ramp extensions, it took the srain whilst reversing up them do do my rear axle paint job.
andymichaelsmith –
Not quite extra wide
The only slight down-side was the description of “Extra Wide”. While my tyres are probably a bit wider than most I wouldn’t consider them extra wide and yet they overlap these ramps by quite a bit.
grindingsparks –
Sturdy but not too heavy
These are respectable, well made ramps for DIY car repairs. They have a good paint finnish and the materials used seem to be good quality. A safe option for working under vehicles if used on a firm, level surface. Check clearance of body before driving up and move gently to avoid pushing ramps away.
